So have not been playing for a while now and been debating weather to play some or not. I have kept my account active and considering getting this expansion till I saw what Blizz’s plan for MM again… We had this problem years ago when blizz tried this idea of getting rid of pets for MM. It was a bad idea then and it still is. Honestly I am seeing nothing really want to get me back into playing this game any more. Go ahead blizz. I know you dont care. take away MM’s pets. Make the game appeal more to elite players or who ever you are trying to bring into this game. I will be showing you how much I am sick of things with my wallet.

If MM hunter as it is “the way you like it” was so good you would actually play it.
MM is a unpopular spec and is getting a rework\redesign. I think its pretty dam toxic to say they are removing pets because of “elite players”.

You like it with a pet and you are not even playing the game and demand they revert the rework and yet you dont even play your MM hunter.

Even though I am not playing, I am still paying my monthly sub. Thus since I am still paying I can come on these forums and voice my opinion just like you! Now you can agree with my or not thats on you. You want to come and start going OMG you are so toxic and in turn do toxic stuff to. I’m going to call you out on it

Yea people who dont even play MM in its unpopular design state are coming in role playing as die hard hunters demanding the super unpopular spec that was in need of a rework and design direction to be removed.

I have been playing MM as far back as Vanilla. I have played all of the version blizz has come up with. the only time I truly had a blast with MM was during Panda and Warlords. Now did I ever say MM is good. I did not. All I am saying is I am sick of the BS that blizz does to the class and spec since Legion with side winder missiles as a class fantasy.

it’s dismissive to try and say a change you don’t like is only to appeal to elite players or some vague boogeyman. there are people who genuinely like this change that aren’t a faceless scapegoat

I just really like playing MM hunter. I do have other classes but I am more into playing the one class and spec. it holds my attention more for some reason. Its crazy because I love Transformers and druids transform. I have a druid it and played it like crazy back in vanilla. now its just a side toon that i struggle to want to level up

Trust me I feel you. MM Hunter was the best spec and most balanced of the other 2 specs imo and embodied the “Hunter” identity. BM hunter now is more “Lion Tamer” and imo would use melee weapons to embody his connection to beasts. Survival should be the “Loner spec”, relying on their range weapons,traps and wits to survive independent of a pet hence the name of the spec “survival”
But it is what it is unfortunately. The only way I don’t bench my Hunters is if they make available ALL hunter melee weapons for use in the Survival spec, dual welding etc. Otherwise that’s why I have alts of other ranged classes. It does bother me as I used the Anniversary event to level a MM Hunter and get them PvP geared and now I don’t even want to play them because of this change. Guess I’ll be retiring my Tauren Hunter at Red Rocks

I hear you and respect what you are saying. Now from my point of view from playing for a very long time is that blizz does carter to certain players. I remember pre legion when you could gear up in pvp gear then collect pve trinkets, neck, and rings and still be good to go in raiding and dungeons. raiders cried about that fact. What did blizz do? they changed pvp gear to something like if you win a bg you get a random gear or collect enough points and get a loot box with… random gear. another case years ago watching xplay where they were saying something to the effect that two leaders of these top guilds having finished a raid were insisting blizz was pleasing casual players. its was something to that effect. So I am coming from a point of view where blizz has catered to a certain group of players.
The good news is, you have classic. You can go tame your favorite pet and play MM all you want. It’s all there for you. Everything you could ever want. Just like the MSV haters, classic, right there. As a WoW player you are never more than a push of a button away from your literal favorite time in wow. Go get it. Zero people are going to try and stop you.
