Especially if you want to do raid content. Now maybe you’ll be that ‘one priest’ in a guild who gets to run shadow because you boost all the warlocks DPS with shadow weaving. But while people complain a lot about the state of classes in WoW currently. They were much much MORE restrictive and unbalanced in vanilla.
Unless you are in a guild with friends don’t expect to be able to raid as a boomkin, feral, ret pally, enhancement shammy, etc…
If you have absolutely ZERO interest in healing then save yourself hassle and don’t play a class that can heal.

Well that’s pretty much what the classes were in vanilla, but I’m mainly just saying this to players who didn’t play then and are now playing in BFA. The DPS of the ‘healing’ classes was nowhere up to par in Vanilla and they were not very welcome in raids.
Basically there are three kinds of classes in Vanilla. There are DPS classes, which have three DPS specs. There are Warriors, who have a tank spec and optional solo leveling talents. And there are healing classes, some of which can tank in dungeons. Fighting that is a losing battle.

I don’t mind healing.
But trying to force me to go resto is no Beuno.
Didn’t naxx put groups at such a level of gear it was more effective to have alot of your priests go shadow and use pallys with huge amounts of crit for healing?
I think the biggest shift will be people who are used to the modern spec system and wont realize that a shaman in agi / str gear can pick up water and heal 5 mans till endgame just fine, keep a few pieces of int / mp5 gear in your bags, toss em on when you have to heal a run.
I was more worried till the stress test, maybe the prelaunch had way more pserver players but people seemed to know their classes in groups.
You will bandage in BWL or lose your raid spot lol.
