If.the tank is the leader then you follow. If you’re trying to provide backseat directions you’re leading.
Following a YouTube google isn’t leading either. Its following someone’s directions.
Let people explore, I don’t care what the meta way is, i want to see whats over there.

I don’t think a tank should have to memorize a leveling dungeon first–though they should definitely listen to team members making suggestions if not.

I have no clue what your point is, lol.
know the basic path before you tank so you dont waste a bunch of time backtracking.
I would also ask healers to know how to heal individual targets prior to healing in dungeons too…lol…something easily learned by practicing on random players or even NPCs . …but am I to expect that THAT is also asking too much of players? lol

It just sounds like you were being the major bummer of the group. Everyone else was having a fun adventure of discovery while you were whacking the desk with your ruler, telling everyone to fall in line.

no…you always follow the tank if hes leading…the team lead is irrelevant lol for that. lol
If tank wants to lead the group he should know where he needs to go and at the very least ask someone or when the team is telling him what needs to be done where…pay attention.

Im sorry…youre clearly just trolling me so byebye

Im sorry…youre going to the ignore list too. I didnt expect you to pretend like not knowing basic of a dungeon wasnt to be expected before LEADING it lol.

Again…WE WERE TELLING him we had to do X before going to Y…something he should have known with an 18 year old dungeon in the first place.

Im not. Im playing the game without needing to read three novels of unnecessary spoilers.
But go ahead and dismiss it. Everyone who disagrees with you is a troll.

Op has a point for m+, kind of, depending on how high the key is i guess.

But then I find out hes talking about freaking dire maul lmao?

No, just let them play and learn. Its a leveling dungeon.

Odds are anyone new in the past several years have never stepped foot in DM, is even conscious of DM, much less “DM West, DM North, DM East”. DM is so far off the beaten path.

I can barely visualize where the entrances are. I haven’t been in DM since BC, and that was just to get leather for leveling.

Tbh, there are a lot of trolly responses–but I think it is because of the specific content mentioned. If you were referring to an M+ dungeon, I think everyone would agree–tank needs to know what they’re doing. It’s an old game, but still new for some. Leveling is the time to learn.

Granted, I stand with what I said before–if the group is trying to help, tank should not just be ignoring them to do their own thing/waste everyone’s time. Most are looking to speed through, gain levels, and catch up to current…rather than explore something that was revamped 10 years ago.

Right…which is why i was very clear about a BASIC path…knowing where I need to go next.
Im actually surprised that one big door opened without all the other required stuff not being taken down first. I didnt even know that was a thing which I suppose means this is the first time in 6.5 year of playing that Ive seen a tank do it. lol.

Peculiar that we have some obvious tank players here…who seem to be getting quite upset that someone asks them to know where theyre going in a dungeon

right…but if we say 'HEY OVER HERE" and someone was literally clicking that map icon that bleeps at you and you ignored it and kept going ?

$100 says 9/10 players arguing here is the “GO GO GO” sort when they get into a dungeon regardless of it being classic or DF dungeons. lol

This is why DPS will always be my main, and a healer or tank my alt. I learn the paths of the dungeons, what spells hit hard etc, so I can then level my healer or tank and know where to go, and what to mitigate etc.

When I do tank I only will choose dungeons from the list that I know and have run a lot.

I mean, when content is brand new…yeah, we’re ALL learning it. But 90 days into DF if we’re still having trouble knowing the pathing, I think we have a problem, Houston, lol

I agree with you, I used ‘horribly’ not as an insult, but to really push just how easy the pathing is.
