That means you lost the argument shelly.
There are no facts there. Just your opinion that gathering professions are worthless, with the only evidence provided being your vague recollection of the price of one fish item at some unspecified point in the last iteration of classic.
We know BTW that this particular consumable will increase in price as less levelling toons catch it as part of their fishing levelling (probably a lot more is being caught than there is use for now), and as the demand for FAPs increase from competitive PvP / ranking.
More generally most low level gathering mats wonât pay as long as plenty of toons are levelling gathering professions. As the server matures and the balance shifts towards crafting professions, gathering mats will be me a bit more scarce relative to demand. That was the case in every iteration of classic.
That said, itâs also possible that the players now are even more strategic than 2019 and many more are picking gathering professions than in 2024, resulting in a bigger oversupply of mats.
Why bots? Other players can copy your strategy as well. Itâs well known that in a perfect information market (which this isnât, but itâs getting closer to one, with the knowledge base after 20 years, add-ons, etc.), every profit is â0â or equal to the opportunity cost. If you find a trick to make more gold per hour others will figure it out and the oversupply of that item will reduce its GPH to that of comparable uses of time.
I have quite the opportunity for you.
Come play on Whitemane Era; we slay gold farmers and bots without mercy and there are near Zero gold buyers.
Additionally, there is a very active Raid community and there is a very enjoyable PvP community where everyone is putting forth actual effort to win every game; where there is near zero worry over âmuh honor per hour broâ
Yes but robotic programmed bots are against world of warcraftâs terms of service and therefore are illegal. A legal agreement between a service provider and itâs users protecting both the service and the user.
