Yet both you and I share the idea that class design and balance are issues while playing at different ends of the ladder.
Ask Holinka if they can make a TBC arena forum and donât allow cross posting with the same character profile and remove the option to post from low lvls/hidden profiles. Forums would instantly be improved by people having to attach their opinion to their name. And ask him to make bm hunter unplayable
They are, ask any competitive player or even rdruid main
Representation on an inactive ladder after a very active season for a spec that is not too popular to begin with has very little to do with strength. You arenât even considering win rates.
You should not use statistics if you donât understand the basics. Disgusts me how often people think correlation=causation.
I have no faith we are going to get any answers of substance or anything ground breaking and awesome revealed to us. Changes arenât going to happen most likely.
They might hit us with something like,
âWell we felt that gear did need to be tied behind rating to make the sense of progression worthwhile, but now you can augment it with PVE gear as well so it shouldnât be as bad. Also, we lowered the max weapon from PVP down so that should help out a BUNCH!â
Which basically dribbles down to, âWords, words, words, the master wants money we did nothing.â
Weâll get a lot of smoke blown up our rears about the new PVP talents while ignoring the elephant in the room that PVP should essentially be about equal levels of gear (no this isnât why you canât progress still).
Well youâre geared and facing people that are also geared. So how would a gearing overhaul enhance your gameplay at this point?
If I wanted to make an alt I wouldnât have to spend 160 hours reaching the 99% ilvl cutoff point.
If locks were made to be more fun and rewarding in PvP would you still want to make an alt?
Thank you for the link! Questions posted <3
Lock feels just fine lolwut?
Yeah Iâd probably pick up a warrior and a priest as well in addition to already playing boomkin and ele.
Thats not what I asked but I can tell youâve figured out where I was going.
They need to ask what the incentive is for people who sat out season one have to return to the game for season two when the âcatch upâ gear is locked behind two renown time gates and a massive honor grind just to get to 229 gear (in pvp). By the time the returning player gets this gear, the people who have current conquest gear will have moved far beyond that.
There is no catch up system for returning players. They will be behind on day one and will continue to be behind for the start of the season.
Whatâs their incentive to play at any point during the season and how has that changed?
Things were fine at that start of the season (when everyone was on relatively equal footing w/r to gear). That wonât be the case for the start of season two. That is a big problem.
As far as what happens in a season that has gone on for way too long? The current gearing system is not sustainable and the system ends up self-imploding. So, the problems you see now later in the season are going to happen again in season two.
- You werenât improving fast enough to keep up and now youâre behind.
- You didnât have a problem with the system until it became clear youâre limited by your capabilities.
- Its Blizzardâs responsibility to cater to your needs now.
- Class design/balance should be put on hold until youâre geared enough to understand those are real issues.
Someone that has twitter ask them if theyre going to fix warlocks in pvp!
A lot of incorrect assumptions here. I didnât stop because I was losing too much or âhard stuck.â That doesnât happen with a >60% win rate. I stopped because arena is just not something I enjoy that much (particularly, healer/dps vs. healer/dps fights which drag on for too long to be considered fun).
And that had nothing to do with gear, since I was rarely lower item level than the people I was fighting that early in the season.
Itâs Blizzardâs responsibility to at least provide a relatively even playing field at the start of a season.
Where did I say that class design and balance arenât issues? Are you not intelligent enough to understand that a game can have multiple and distinct issues? More intellectually dishonest straw men.
Then go away and let PvPers ask the questions.
God this popcorn is delicious
Arena is not the only form of pvp, you know. You are just yet another person that has an inflated sense of self-worth.
What is the point of this Q&A, if they wanted to change issues based on dying game statistics and thousands of posts they would do it already. Also like really HolinkaâŚ
