Hi, other players and I have been experiencing considerable lag in Zuldazar on Blackwater Raiders US. This includes multiple-second waits on cast times and seeing others running in place. I’m not having these issues in Boralus or other places in Kul Tiras at the moment. I talked with some others in general chat and they were experiencing the same thing. This has been happening at least since last night.

I’m seeing this exact thing on Feathermoon - Scarlet Crusade. It only affects the Zuldazar zone.
It’s fairly frustrating, as I’ve chosen this zone to level a particular alt and this really is borderline unplayable. All is normal for about 10-30 seconds, only normal latency (I usually run about 60-80ms), but then everything just hangs for 5-10 seconds. My latency doesn’t change.
Furthermore, I’ve verified this same effect over the last two days from two different locations using two different Internet connections. One with a VPN, one without. One PC, one Mac. One with with zero add-ons, one with just DBM. Two very different setups, but same result. I believe this is server-side.
Now, I understand that Blizzard was under a DDoS recently, and I wonder if certain flow control mitigations have exacerbated an already-existing lag problem which Zuldazar has been known for in the past (Googled it and saw a bunch of forum posts from 2019).
Anyway, I’m just speculating and don’t know the cause. However, I’d be happy to do whatever additional testing would be helpful. I’d also be interested to see this this is affecting many realms, or just a few.

What you’re experiencing is exactly the same for me. I was trying to do archaeology and it would just “hang” for a few seconds with no change in my ms.

I hope blizzard goes into the game to test because just monitoring network connections everything may look good. I’m still getting a solid 20ms ping even though it clearly lagging badly. I’m on Blackwater Raiders US in Zuldazar.

Same here on Blackwater Raiders and Feathermoon. Pings are under 30ms but very long lag on casts (some 10+ seconds).

Just an update:
The Zuldazar zone lag has gotten substantially worse this morning. I’m actually spending more time in a state of lag than I am able to do anything. We’re talking periods of 10-15 seconds of non-responsiveness for every 10 seconds of normal gameplay.
Further indication that this is server lag is that during combat, normal network latency would most definitely cause you to die or be at a substantial disadvantage due to mobs continuing to attack while you lag-out. However, I’ve specifically noticed that mobs’ health and actions are lagging-out along with my own at the same time. The whole world just hangs for these periods.
The lag is also affecting phasing around the zone (probably not a surprise). Meaning that as you approach an area, the NPCs don’t populate for a few seconds.
At this point, play in this zone is not viable until this is fixed, at least not on affected realms. No idea how widespread this is, but I’ve now had confirmations from members on my own conjoined realms that this is a thing.

I had the same issue along with the only other player in the zone with me last night, pretty unplayable atm.

Just writing in that there is still considerable latency issues in Scarlet Crusade in Zuldazar today (06/06) at 10:40 PST.

I am also experiencing this issue on Scarlet Crusade server. Its only the Zuldazar zone. No problems anywhere else in the game. I suspect its something affecting all of the RP servers. There’s about a 10-15 second delay randomly when in the zone happening sporadically.
Still a very bad lag situation in Zuldazor. 5 sec or longer lags. NPC’s not showing up for several seconds. Summon a mount and it takes 5 or sec seconds to appear.
Others on the game are questioning it as they cannot play at the current time. Too much lag. Have just left tech support for my computer and they took over my computer and ran mutltiple scans. They said the machine is fast and doing well. All drivers are up to date, and I cleaned out cache, WTF and interface files. Still lag in Zuldazar.

Same thing is still happening on Sisters of Elune / Cenarion Circle. Zuldazar is completely unplayable, and has been getting progressively worse over the past few days.
Confirming I am also having this same problem. I’m on Shadow Council and the lag was like 30 seconds for me then 15 normal seconds then another 30 seconds lag, rinse/repeat. Lag does not show on the lag monitor at all. Disabled all my addons, and switched WiFi connections, and no change.

It’s been bad on Sisters of Elune for at least 2 days. Based on general chat, many players are experiencing the same thing. Zuldazar is almost unplayable, but hard to avoid for Horde characters.

Game still unplayable in Zandalar scarlette crusades. Seems localized to Zuldazar south east area for sure not sure about other parts of it but there for sure. I constantly have under 100 ms connection both home and world. 90-100 fps and anywhere else i go the game plays normally. I just returned to the game so not sure how long it’s been going for.
What concerns me more is the complete lack of response on the part of Blizzard Devs.
The game is unplayable in the biggest hot spot for Horde. Gods help us if an assault RNG’s in it.

Thank you for your reports all! We are aware of the latency issues on Dazar’alor and Zuldazar. Our team is working on this issue. I’ll continue to update this thread as we have more information on the issue.

I am getting this too and have been for a couple days. I just got an alt to Zuldazar and the intro quest where you follow the princess up the stairs won’t complete. She lags out halfway up and disappears.
