Judgment using Seal of Justice DOESN'T SLOW enemy players in PvP

When Seal of Justice is active and you cast Judgement on a player in PvP, the slow (applied by the “players cannot flee” mechanic) DOES NOT WORK!
The effect is applied to the target, but the slow DOESNT WORK.
Forms like travel form for Druid (tested) or Ghost Wolf still have their increased movement speed.

The “preventing them from fleeing” part is not a slow, it stops a mob from running away in fear when they reach low health.

It’s been a long time since Classic, at least this is how I remember how the spell operated. Not sure if there is another modifier that is applied to the spell. I see some reference in Wowhead about a reduction to 100% movement speed, but they are from Thottbot era. This would make the player that you apply the Seal on will only be moving at a max of 100% movement speed, so speed boosting abilities have no affect on them.

I agree with you, but shifting forms like Druid / Ghost wolf still have their movement speed.
The “slowing” effect itself is broken and does not apply.

This worked as expected in phase 1, but since phase 2 I believe its been broken.

Feel free to try it out with a druid friend in travel form, they are not slowed.

Doesn’t shapeshifting break snares and roots?

Not questioning what happened, just trying to make sense of it.

This is the debuff applied by a judged seal of justice in classic. The effect is simply cannot flee, there is no slow or other movement speed suppression.

The wotlk version of a judged seal of justice does apply a run speed limiter. However, this was a change that did not happen until wotlk pre patch, so wouldn’t apply to classic era or sod.

Sad, thanks for the clarification Battlecruisr. But I swear it was working in Phase 1 as described by the WoTK era.

Possible that such an interaction might’ve been the actual bug and was fixed going into phase 2. Can’t say for sure, I only really play retail so I don’t keep up with what goes on in classic

I can confirm that it was with video proof. That being said, I came here wanting to make the same post. Was just in some pvp situations and noticed it no longer works on Druids switching to travel form or Shamans going into ghost wolf. Massive bummer. Massive blow to the Enlightened Judgements being fun and/or useful. Does it at least still work on Rogues popping sprint? Who cares at this point.

Incorrect.

This is how Judgement of Justice always worked in classic PvP:

"The movement speed limit of the judged player is not considered a
movement impairing effect, meaning acts such as shape shifting, Dispersion, and Hand of Freedom will not remove it. This prevents a player from going about their normal run speed. Thus, for instance, a Druid who is affected by the Judgement will not go any faster than the normal run speed if they shift into Travel Form, a Rogue who uses Spring will receive no speed boost, and any player riding a mount will receive no speed bonus from doing so. "

If Druids are running around in Travel Form while judged at full speed this needs to be fixed immediately.

Cool, you can copy paste the description from the wiki while simultaneously missing this fact

The original judgement effect of seal of justice never applied any movement suppression.

One edit here, is that the movement suppression was actually added in TBC when seal of justice was given rank 2. Rank 1 judgement of justice did nothing in pvp.

You are in fact correct! My apologies, sir!
