Would you want me to tank in your group? Yes or no and why or why not.
I’m just curious, i have a 1k io and i got turned down by someone with a 600 io

Sounds like they found someone more fitting for their run. People get turned down all the time, crazy, I know.
You actually take the scores seriously? Weird I only take experience seriously.
I’d take you, but not because of some third party add-on’s score for you, though. I’d take you solely because you highly outgear a +10, and shouldn’t be chosen over for someone else, just because an add-on said so.
That’s not how you have smooth pug runs. There are many LFR heroes that completely outgear a +10 and aren’t capable of finishing a +4.
Welfare gear falls from the sky nowadays, ilvl and “outgearing” something isn’t a smart way to judge a player anymore.
I have a feeling you don’t play with many pugs with this mentality.
Tanks set the pace of the run.
If you have to ask and I’m going for time, the answer is no.
No.
You’re a dirty horde.
I don’t normally do Mythic+, but I also don’t go based on scores as I prefer that ones actions speak louder than words. Will more likely find those who don’t know what their doing, or may even be annoying.
However, I rather take the chance as I have seen in WoW and other video games that rank or some kind of scores does not always speak of ones abilities if that makes sense. On the other hand, if I was declined for a low score than oh well, their are other people to join should they let me.
There are several reasons I can think of that may cause me to decline a 1k io score tank.
Don’t take it personally, just be thankful you probably have far less declines then the average dps sees daily.
Oddly enough, that’s exactly what raider.io
is for. Its a tool used to judge ones actions instead of trusting their word.
“Actions” as in what I see how the player does, not have done. You don’t see how the player will perform with your group until you join up together. That is what I meant.
You’re in for a lot of bad runs in the future.
Not really since I don’t do Mythic+ anymore except with guildmates, but yeah I get your point.
You’re fine OP, I don’t run mythic+ but I would pick you anytime cause you’re deathknight, you’re a raid boss basically and have 500K hp probably. Brb…Jesus! 361K HP, I knew it.
But you would take them over someone else based purely on ilvl? How is this in any way better? You are still using a system to determine who would be best suited to complete a smooth run.
The only difference is that ilvl means nothing in terms of how well they can do mechanics, what their dps is, or what their experience is. (although if you inspect and see they are fully geared in heroic raid/ M +10 gear then this acts in a similar manner as io)
On the other hand io shows you how many keys they have completed, their highest completed key, and what their score is on their main.
I don’t mean to be rude but have you not experienced 400+ ilvl dps who do less damage then a druid tank on single target? Others who seem to die to every mechanic putting you further and further behind if your trying to 3 chest the dungeon. Ilvl doesn’t help you discover these things while io (while not always an accurate indicator as runs can be bought) usually can.
HP isn’t the end-all be-all, most especially for a tank. I have a group of friends that I heal keys for that are all 410+ i-level that haven’t managed to time a +10 yet. This is a guild group in voice chat, mind you. Meanwhile my main group (who is a bear tank with me as a holy priest) have timed 16s because our tank is very familiar with the dungeons and strats for each.
HP alone isn’t enough. Gear isn’t enough. Unless you just want to finish a dungeon and not worry about the timer.
Are jokes enough though?
Join a guild and sure
It’s sad that this is what the game has come to. Players are showered with welfare, WF, and TF and still aren’t able to complete very slightly difficult content.
They have fun. I think that’s what’s most important. But yes, I personally am firmly on the “get rid of titanforging” side of the fence.
