You are missing my point, i’m not arguing the burst wasn’t overtuned, i’m trying to say that there was a problem and it got fixed, but after the problem is fixed Ret is still good, not op but good, so the comunity just find another problem to complain about.

Honestly, all DPS should have a ret paladin type rework. Ret is nice because you have damage, utility and now more survivability. Too many DPS are one-dimensional. Ret feels a lot more well rounded now.
So, I’d say… bring the other DPS up to this level if they aren’t already there. The 10.1 crit change should take care of the spike damage issue. Too bad it’s a long way off. I think Blizzard should consider implementing that before 10.1 to see how it plays out.
An ICD on judge dispel could probably work now they have 2 charges and lower cd. Maybe 8 seconds or w.e single judge used to be.
I think ontop of some sort of ICD on Judgement of the Pure, Fist of Justice might need to become a flat decrease to HoJ. With the amount of Holy Power Rets can generate now HoJ is bordering the line of a little oppressive.

Rets don’t need their judgment dispel anymore to fulfill their old class fantasy of being able to dispel teammates. Sanc and magic bop cover that angle in a much more balanced fashion.

The arguments that “it always existed” harken back to SL holy priest where they had op/out of place talents that no one saw because no one really played hpriest. (Spoiler: they saw tuning if not outright removed )
Mindlessly dispelling everything except curses every 5s is a counter to just about every spec that isn’t entirely physical lol.

To many dual purpose abilities that take no thought or consideration. It’s like when hunter’s had frozen ammo. Ranged slow that the hunter didn’t do anything to apply. Awful gameplay.

Ret is still S tier, and the best melee in game.
Putting a 30s icd on judgement dispel wont change that.

Have you even played today? They are fine. More than fine. They are still top dps in most of the games I’m in by quite a large amount. I have had two lobbies with double rets.
