Easy. Because then I have no logical merit over people suggesting whatever random stupid thing they think should be in the game. The only stance that can be considered to be of integrity is to advocate that Blizzard stop changing things. Why? Because Blizzard is clearly incompetent and full of lazy, stupid employees who don’t care to put effort into Classic. So the only logical position to take is to simply tell them to leave it alone.
Also wrath of the lich king was perfect and it doesn’t need to be fixed. It was literally the most perfect expansion ever.
I do appreciate the sincerity and conviction of the reply, but I don’t think logic or integrity are the right words to use here, as much of what you assert of Blizzard and its staff is subjective and preferential. Not defending mistakes or trying to argue semantics…I get what you’re advocating. I just disagree that JJ is one of those “illogical” or lacking integrity sort of things. I see it as admittedly somewhat arbitrary, but non-impactful on the essence of the game.
Because that guy took a certain amount of time to get to max level, basically he “earned” it, and anything that allows people to level faster then him is cancer and a slap in the face to wow classic purists…… or some bs like that…
Actually there was an xp bonus… RAF xp bonus was in the game, PLUS free level ups, PLUS a 2 Seater RAF mount. Alt leveling has been dead af thanks to H+ ruining dungeons for alts as well. We need xrealm rdf. We’re also past the point of saying “leave it alone no changes!” When Blizz has already butchered wrath by adding stupid changes.
I didn’t say that my view of JJ itself provably the most logical. I said that if I am to be consistent with my views, which I am, then taking the stance of wanting Blizzard to leave things the way they are because they’re too incompetent to ever improve on Vanilla, BC, or Wrath, as they’ve proven time and time again in the last few years, that is the most logical position to have for someone like me. Picking and choosing what changes are good or bad would not be nearly as logical or consistent.
Al of those things are fine. JJ was not in the game and gives far more xp than all of RAF. JJ is garbage and doesn’t belong in classic.
RAF gave iirc a 300% xp bonus… but only if you had a friend that you got to subscribe to wow and their character was nearby you. So in other words 90% of players would have gotten 0% xp from RAF.
So you want Wrath and other Classic expansions to be changed to fit this stage in your life rather than leaving it alone? How about you just play another game if you don’t like it? Or just stop complaining about how you can’t stand leveling the way the game was originally meant to be and stop advocating that Blizzard change things to suit you while making the game worse for everyone who just wants to play Wrath of the Lich King the way it originally was.
The game will never be close to the original, blizz already changed too much stuff. I challenge you to level now in the completely dead world with barely any groups. I for one leveled up multiple toons in classic alone, the leveling/wpvp experience is my favorite. No one wants to level in a dead world in a MMO.
The game dying and Blizzard being too lazy and greedy to use resources on preventing and fixing dead realms is not somehow an excuse to let them ruin the game with stupid changes. Bring back DF, RAF and remove JJ forever… And merge realms together and prevent people from transferring away or to certain realms.
Original wrath had refer a friend with a 300 % xp boost + 25 % from boa. JJ is far from what we had to level up alt in original wrath . Anyway who plays to level ? Basicly no one , we mostly all play for end game content , raid arena , bg , leveling is a chore for most of us.
Stop playing Wrath then and bring your retail mentality back to retail. I enjoy leveling and so do thousands of other people. Either way it doesn’t matter whether you like it or not. Lvl 80 is not supposed to be easy to get or given to you for free. Either play Wrath the way it originally was or go play something else. Stop trying to get Blizzard to ruin a perfect expansion with your ideas about catering to your impatience and dislike for PLAYING THE GAME
