Not sure which is better
Moreso for M+
I like Primal Tide Core for raid but I think in M+ it results in too much overhealing
Double Chain Heal each pack or two vs twice as many Chain Heals/Waves for 10 sec on 3 min CD. Leaning towards Jonat’s, can bank the healing and use it more often when needed, might work better with our mastery too.
Do the Jonat’s 5 stacks have a buff timer window or only fall off when consumed? Also does it highlight Chain Heal at 5 or does this need tracking?
I’d use neither for any content. Primal tide core is great for raid, decent for M+, and I like it in RBGs OVER the earthen harmony for most maps when I’m offensive heals.
For M+ the Deeptremor Stone has proven to be solid in assisting DPS since shaman heals are already very strong, if you heal decently already, this may be a great option to assist in timing of keys.
I’ve tried Jonats and the rotation to fit feels clunky and not as smooth. I even matched it up with Natures reach conduit to really give it some chunk healing. It works fine. I just prefer the primal tide core for most healing options since its more mana efficient.
I haven’t tried spiritwalkers, for the simple fact it’s a 3 minute legendary for heals. I want more consistent use of what I pick. I know deeptremor is tied to rock ele and that’s 5 min, but the added damage is niche compared to consistent healing that the other’s provide.
Overhealing in M+ isn’t really an issue and neither is mana efficiency. The only affix where mana can be problematic is Grievous. My experience timing M16s is having another impactful healing CD can be quite helpful. However, so is getting two Tidal Wave procs every 4th Riptide from PTC.
If your group is struggling on DPS where having Deeptremor Stone makes a difference…you need better DPS. The best way to contribute DPS is by applying Flame Shock on as many targets as possible for Lava Surge procs, and use Lightning Bolt / Chain Lightning when you can.
I have just been using Spiritwalkers the whole patch mostly in M+. It is pretty flexible. I often find good use of it spamming fast chain heals in a spirit link where everyone has health missing.
And PTC procs count as a direct heal (just like riptide does) for removing grievous stacks.
Our resto legendaries are all pretty mediocre, but PTC is consistently solid.
Yeah, STT kind of feels like an extra cooldown if you’re having trouble handling the Pride or something. I just cant see it being as good as PTC or Deeptremor.
Deeptremor was the first thing I crafted, when the Torghast wings were being stubborn (actually had to run twisting corridors to get the right wing).
Deeptremor was pretty awesome to pop, in tough spots. The damage on certain trash pulls is pretty epic. It is impactful.
I’ve been using PTC for awhile…and Its healing and interaction with tidal waves is really good.
Our base kit is pretty strong. We’re in the enviable position of being able to use a variety of things.
Deeptremor is hilarious in Troghast.
I was really not expecting it to stack with the Torghast power that does the same thing (especially since it has the same name as the leggo).
If you’re lucky with that and the +Nature Damage and -Earth Ele cooldown you can just casually stroll through Torg with him next to you and everything dies. It’s kind of relaxing, actually.
