Can we turn back on the “[guild member name] has received ‘XYZ mount’”?
It felt really cool to be able to scream with people in real time instead of them having to link it in chat or discord.

Newer xpac mounts don’t announce. Latest xpac I can recall seeing is Legion, maybe BFA for mount announcements.
Sanctum Gloomcharger and Smoldering Ember Wyrm
STO (Star Trek Online) has an annoying system where if anyone in the same zone as you opens a lock box and gets a high level ship it displays a zone wide message.
“So-and-so has recieved a tier 6 blah-de-blah ship”
I very dislike it.

with guild messages i could feel a lil glad someone got something.
these intrusive zone announcements are irritating i could care less of Tyblearius Kerk got his 5th tier 6th “Penterprise”
It’s still a thing. Not all mounts count though for that notification.

They announce up to at least SL raid drops (Mythic Jailer had an announcement message).
It just needs to be one of the reasonably rare ones.
I’m a little surprised that the sanctum gloomcharger didn’t give one, I guess just because it is a mid-boss drop on all difficulties? Midnight The dragon boss (Midnight is the horse) is a 1 per 5 dungeon mount, though. It is guaranteed to drop with a full group every run, so it makes a ton of sense that it wouldn’t give an announcement.

Odd. When I got the jailer mount it didn’t announce, but Midnight did.

Mixing up names on the Return to Karazhan mount, fixed that.
Odd on the Jailer mount drop though. Maybe it doesn’t activate every time for some reason? Could be an odd bug?

It existed during remix, did they turn it off in the normal game?
That’s not a rare drop mount, it’s basically a quest mount.
Mount is too new, maybe?

It announced to my guild when I got G.M.O.D earlier
It announced when I got the Nyalotha Allseer. It also announced to guild when I got the Lifebinder’s Handmaiden (both times >:C)
