Jiglesworth Sr, Seriously?

There was plenty of reason to expect it to not be returning - like AOTC and M+ mounts.

And yet it never said it wasn’t returning, now did it?

Just because something uses the same language doesn’t mean the same rules they’ve said in the past about the other thing applies to the new one as well.

Why not? There’s a new FoS achievement and a new mount now. Who cares if the other one still requires raid runs to get? Y’all still have an achievement. Reward isn’t given away for free. People have to sacrifice gear for a mount.

As Primerate posted (post 37)

Blizzard gave it the headline
“Going away with Dragonflight release”
Listing it beside AOTC rewards

Sorry, trying to quote the part that says they are going away, but getting Error 422 when i try to edit the post

When the Dragonflights of Azeroth return, you’ll leave the Shadowlands behind. Before you journey back to the realm of the living, you may want to spend your remaining moments in the afterlife seeking out a few rewards that will no longer be obtainable (or more difficult to acquire) in the upcoming expansion—Dragonflight .

“No longer obtainable”. Listed along with other similar rewards. Yes, you’re feeling the urge to point out this clause “(or more difficult to acquire)” but this obviously directly references the tab after which says “Difficulty increasing when DF launches”. This is referencing things like Mythic 100% mount drops going to 1%. It’s in its own section.

I said there was every reason to expect it to be treated like other things listed with it - e.g. not returning ever.

I didn’t claim there was some iron clad force of nature literally stopping it from ever coming back. I recognize literally everything in this game is just some arbitrary decision by some person trying to leave at 5pm to feed their families.

So, in that same respect, I welcome the return of the other items on that list.

Oh boy, that’s not what I said at all but this is the typical FoMo comment. It was released with a Specific FoS achieve, That achieve is NO LONGER in game, aka no mount. It’s that simple. But now its re-added and even under says “This has been removed from the game” As it was because

  1. Season 4 Fated SHADOWLANDS FoS achieve reward.
  2. We are no longer in season 4 FATED SHADOWLANDS

Nothing about this thread is me wanting others to miss out,. but when you present a specific item released to a certain Expansion feature and then re add it just because it’s literally devaluing the main achievement.
The issue I have with this, is IF they’re going to even remotely go down this road which it seems they have because of the FoMo community, they should start with Vanilla and work towards DF. It’s like me wanting the old Naxramas 2h Corrupted Ashbringer. Raid no longer in game for that difficulty, so neither is the weapon. No mount because it was locked to a FoS achievement reward. That’s not Time gating that’s not doing the content when it was available and expecting to get it because “I want it”

I believe the word you were looking for is impossible. It’s impossible to make everyone happy.

And?

Fated and Awakened both mean the same thing.

That is literally the only thing this thread is about. You want others to miss out on this mount because you’re hung up on semantics.

I try to remain optimistic.

They participated and worked.
It’s completely just to reward participation.

Point out where in those 5 words it states “won’t be returning.”

I mean they said it’d be a time-sensitive feature reward from the fated raids …
As far as I recall, they didn’t say it would be an exclusively limited time reward to the ‘Shadowlands’ Fated raids only.

It is still ‘Time-Sensitive’ in a sense:

Think of it like an event mount, like Valentines or Hallows-End — Except its an ‘End of expansion’ fated-raid feature.

The chances are it’ll happen again in ‘The War Within’ too and the following expansions as well … Honestly I think it’s a good way to celebrate the goodbye to the raids of the expansion we’ve journeyed through, before we enter the next.

See that makes sense, it’s the limiting it behind a FoS specific achieve that I can’t get on board with. Like this go around will be the Ardenwald recolor wolf-fox for the “fated” Meta achieve. I’m for bringing old stuff back but when it’s locked behind something very specific like a 1 time event, not Seasonal like Hallow ends/Valentines and such, why even lock it in the first place to said thing?

Context clues are important and I’ve went over this already.

Blizzard gave everyone reason to believe this would be treated no differently than AOTC, M+ mounts, or Veilstrider.

“No longer obtainable”

“Going away with Dragonflight launch” and “[listed with AOTC, M+, Veilstrider, others]”

I tried. The last 8 years beat it out of me. My field of optimism is baren.

the cat is not a challenge style reward

Except they didn’t. You inferred something incorrectly. That’s entirely on you.

Because it’s practically the same content, so those that missed it last expansion have a chance to earn it this time. How is this an issue again, other than the entitled “muh rare pixels” ranting?

I ~earned~ this mount back in Shadowlands and I’m happy that other people who are interested in it but weren’t there at the time have a chance to get it now.

Other people getting it does not take anything away from me.

Clout chasers astound me every time they pearl-clutch some arbitrary thing.

I’m fine with sharing my participation trophy. All I did was show up at the time. Whatever.
