Do something for the love of all that is good and holy in Azeroth. Locking everything for JC behind a daily is madness. Even the profession bonus is locked behind a single daily.

people who can cut certain gems are so sparce right now its hilarious
was looking for an adept ember topaz cut for 2 days and finally someone messaged me “i can cut it” and then proceeded to tell me “nah i can cut it but i wont”
I was excited to do JC dailies, but those first few days tbh needing 3 gems to do it was exceedingly expensive unless that was really what you were investing in pushing.
A lot of the people (like me) who’d planned to do it looked at 600g of mat cost to do a daily and passed.
I do think with the shorter timeline at least some of them should give 2 tokens (perhaps they do and I just haven’t seen one), the same way each city has one cooking daily that gives two tokens.

Im using green quality gems for now, as a JC’er myself.
I was 2 days late to starting my daily’s so I have 1 purple gem cut right now. But have done the daily every day since.
At least in wrath we had a repeatable quest from a world drop we could buy off AH to speed this up. I dont think that exists in Cata as far as I can tell.
