So after Im done mass prospecting for some points, to get greens, that I turn into blue gems, and then blue gems into necks and rings… and sell those necks and rings for less than the ores I paid for in the first place at a loss… what do I do with this profession? Am I supposed to just mine my own ores, and turn them into gems that sell worse than if I sell the ores?
Blue gems are selling for the mathematical equivalent of what the ores cost to prospect 4 green gems already. Do I even get a special jewelcrafter only gem that gives awesome stats? I dont see the add JC slot item at the trainer… Where is the money in this, the reason people take it at all?
Realms are sure different, JC margins are 33%.
Tichondrius is selling blue gems for 200g. I was selling TBC epic gems to alts for 300g, 20 at a time a week ago. You can buy the uncut versions for 1g. This is sad.
Compared to inscription, making 150k per sale, with people piling on top of eachother to buy them. So much for fairness and balance.
lmao. inscription feels like a waste of gold so I haven’t ventured into it yet. Yes, I’m aware of the cards.
For people to be making literal millions off zero starter money with inscription while you can make literal hunreds of gold with jewelcrafting, right out of the gate, when everyone needs their gems is pathetic and broken.
JC made me plenty already.
Yea well just wait until someone whos angry like me starts posting things at 90% of the cost of ores. I did that an hour ago and they havent even sold, nobody wants this crap.
if anyone’s crashing the market, it’s me. With a 300% markup, I can afford to lose a little. I undercut the lowest price by 50% before.
