Jewelcrafting 40/40 gem finding broken? No ambers

I just got the 40/40 talent after the reset today and i prospected 5000 aqirite without getting a single extra amber. Is that correct? is it that rare to proc?

I feel like JC is broken in general compared to other professions in terms of the poor return on prospecting and the massive number of crushed gems needed.

I’d say Enchanting is in the same boat with the amount of Storm dust required for high level enchants.

You wonder if this oversight was done on purpose at the beginning of the Expansion in order to drive Token sales or if they just honestly over looked it.

I think JC is fine TBH. but theres 0 reason why 5000 ore should yield 0 extra gems. i wouldnt have wasted the non-refundable KPs

I think it’s awful. Hands down my least favorite. Needing 30 Crushed Gemstones for a large number of recipes is bonkers.

Yeah I started JC first and when I went on to start inscription and engineering found leveling was so much easier.

Definitely broken. I get 98% Amber and rarely get any other gem when prospecting. Sick of farming for hours to come home with a pocket full of amber only. Going to abandon JC and just buy anything I need. Better to be able to ench my own equipment anyway. And why is there not a JC daily like enchanting and alchemy has?
