We have had transmogs in the shop since forever. Why are people now complaining about this one?
It literally used to be $10 for JUST A HELMET. Now you get a “free” set for those who get the 6 month sub.
We have also had other “free” with 6 month sub items before. Think of it just as an added discount for buying in bulk… the way literally any capitalist industry would do.
I seriously can’t understand the outcry. And I say that as someone that doesn’t have the freaking butterfly.
Some people get all in a tizzy over anything in the store. They basically see it as WoW going PTW.
I can’t even transmog daggers into 1h swords, and blizzard is giving me an ugly transmog instead.
Every item on the shop gets complained about, the fairy mog isn’t new. These arguments get repeated word for word every single time. They could add a rock hat with googly eyes to the store and it’ll be the same outrage. Just touching the shop is enough to taint it for some players.
Microtransactions tend to be viewed negatively. Like “cool things should be obtainable in game, not preying on wallets!” and such. Even though you can buy them with gold, or it’s outright free in this case, and the game has a hundred unique things already for every one store item. But all that gets overlooked because store is bad. 
I think the issue right now is the fact that shadowlands got pushed back, blizzard has had a record number of layoffs, no new class armor sets and then, out of nowhere…
Here comes an insanely detailed pair of wings thats arguably one of the best set of wings in the game…

It doesn’t bother me but I can see how others might be miffed…
It’s not like they have to buy it or some stupid reason.

That is true. But most player dosent think of blizz employees when they get mad for that, to the majority wow devs are faceless people that work for their wimps.
It’s not pay to win. It’s a free to play business model in a pay to play game.
I find it hilarious , that they try an attempt to please everyone by making the 6month promo available in the shop for those who prefer monthly sub or gold sub so they can also have a chance to get it , if they’d like …but yet the cries in masses about it are entertaining to read

Edit: It’s like people forget that the xmog set is a 6month promo before actually being a store item … they just put it there to accomodate non 6 month sub players …
just bait for people to resub tbh. it’s $20 and given how it looks personally i’d rather take the $10 helms over the full set. at least you can play around more with the helm in terms of xmogs where as the set idk…
OK, but that’s still a matter of preference. In terms of price, a full set should definitely be more costly than a single item.
Regardless, why are some people complaining about it like it’s a new thing? It’s baffling.
I honestly used that crown exclusively in like 4 of my characters for several years. It’s definitely one of the best helms in game. The fire horns, I’ve rarely used; they just came to mind first.
people spazzed out over the initial sparkleponey ,and they freaked out over the helm transmogs too.
My only real complaint is the jewel of the firelord didnt have a option to turn green if you were a warlock with the green fire option done

Lol because i pointed facts ? I mean people would be mad if the mog was only from the promo and not on the shop . People so stupid , look it up on youtube , fits your kind perfectly .
Yes let’s find a way to rationalize Blizzard changing an item from a promotional only item to adding a Transmog tab so people can now buy them without it being a promotional item. 
Because you can’t get it in-game without wow tokens.

if anything, WoW tokens are one more option to make this cosmetic F2P. Just buy blizzard balance with gold; it’d definitely be less expensive than the spider mount. What would this set cost? 200k gold? lol…
And again, cosmetics on the store are nothing new. The complaints are dumb.
