Jar of Sunwarmed Sand - 24 hour CD and expires on death

Can we please remove the CD for this? Or make it 10min or whatever? Oceanic servers are pretty much perma-night unless you play at like 7am-12pm (when we’re all working), and I’m sick of playing in the dark. Please can we have this CD removed?

Inky Black Potions are spammable, why not the sun?

I’d like to see accessibility options for the following: permanent daytime, permanent nighttime, darker nights, permanent darker nights. Let people choose what they see without stupid toys that are a pain to use or consumables.

I always found the weird cooldowns on toys to be a pain. They really should not exist at all.

Unfortunately [Shadescale], which is the actual night counterpart of [Jar of Sunwarmed Sand], shares the same death/cooldown problem… while it lasts two hours and has a cooldown of one hour, if you die you lose it and then you’re stuck. [Inky Black Potion] has a similar function but just blacks everything out instead of using the zone’s actual night appearance which can be ugly in some cases.

So yeah, remove the cooldowns, but I’d also add the option to make in-game time match local time instead of server time which would fix the problem for a lot of people. In-game time has been screwed up ever since they added sharding anyway (sometimes you’ll get tossed into a shard for a different timezone) making server time mostly meaningless of outdoor play, so there’s no reason to not give the option to make the game follow your computer’s time instead.

Toys are fun. Fun should be limited because we’re in a game and games are meant to be… Wait a minute…

Shadowlands wasn’t too bad, but now Dragon Isles is absurdly dark at night. Which is itself not terrible, but being in Australia this will be the permanent state of things. I put my jar of sunwarmed sand on my hotbar, used it immediately, died at some point, and now am cursed with darkness. I play with gamma and brightness quite high to try to compensate but it still looks really… grey.

Completely agree. I really wish they would change this. It actually is an accessibility issue for me. I have a really hard time seeing in the game night and this is the only time I can play. I’m not sure what harm it would do to let me choose to have it be day.
