i dont know about everyone else, but i dont really like how powerful jaina is in the maw, to me it undermines the threat of the maw with her soloing bosses and running rampage across the maw

meanwhile thrall comes across as utterly useless

Hahaha that Thrall picture

Alliance characters displaying grand feats of strength and skill while Horde characters do nothing? Par for the course, really.

I mean, to be fair, he is essentially a Shaman without Shaman powers.

In fairness Thrall’s not just suddenly like that. Him being under-powered is still kind of an ongoing plot point.

And the idea’s seemingly supposed to be that no matter how many times Jaina’s done all that since being first captured, none of it matters because she keeps ending up back in a cage along with her ally.

As a logic-minded, problem-solving mage it’s her “hell.” She keeps finding ways to break out and wreak havoc on her foes, only to end up right back where she started. It doesn’t end until the player shows up with the Ebon Blade to disrupt things, and since we still have to free her and the others from the Maw once we choose a Covenant, presumably she’ll find herself stuck right back in that unending cycle of failure after the player manages to escape without her.

as far as i know, she ends up being captured again, so is probably a way to torture her soul and Corrupt her?.
is like she has the hope of escaping only to end up back where she started. achieving nothing. maybe a display of how powerful the jailer is that not even one of azeroth’s greatest champions can escape no matter how much she struggles.
fine by me.

but of course the player will.

As for thrall, i think they are going with some sort of him regaining his powers at some point to do something cool. so i am not really bothered by it.
like a power up in a shonen manga.

Doesn’t seem that unbelievable to me. The Maw denizens are so used to dealing with the depowered dead dragging someone living into their realm it makes sense they’d be messing everything up.

but the whole point is how dangerous the maw is. but jaina is making them look like clowns

No after this you return to Oribos with Jaina.

Also about Thrall people have been saying that for 3 expacs no and he still has now power, it’s not that it doesn’t make sense in lore but it’s really bad to see Thrall doing nothing and Baine being considered to weak while Jaina wreaks things.

And even outside the faction bias nonsense, it’s just more of downplaying the villain of the expac which Blizz keeps doing each expac.

So basically, with the help of the player ?
fine by mine, the player is even stronger.

Alliance character being portrayed in a stronger position is a breath of fresh air after xpac after xpac of horde being portrated as stronger to what they truly were.

But not sure why thrall still didn’t regained his powers, maybe they have an arc prepared for him to regain his powers.

Not sure what you were expecting it always has been like this.
The player is unstopabble.

shrugs That happens everywhere we go. Remember how dangerous Azshara was meant to be? We ran roughshod over her realm in short order. Or the Legion? Or Ragnaros?

if the player is stronger than jaina, and jaina is treating the maw like they are a bunch of clowns, that still undermines the danger

I hate you. I’m not linking all that.

Like one time and it’s debatable, really debatable against all the other time through out the expansions, even BfA with Alliance characters.

It being a recurring flaw doesn’t make it better.

that was not a nice thing to say

Did you have to put them in the side scrolling box?

they arent in a scrolling box for me

Not for me either. Probably just formatting for a smaller screen.

That is the point? how do you know that?

did any wow villains make you feel like this?
these villains should kill azeroth’s hero’s to make you feel a threat?.
What you would have liked these villains to do to make you feel threatened?

i am just curious.

Nathanos vs tyrande?
Sylvanas?
Garrosh?
thrall?

oh no doubt.

Well since it’s Shadowlands they could outright kill us, destroying our body in the process.
