Jailer never killed anybody

As far as I can recall there was never a reference to Jailer killing a single person or entity.

Compared to every other big bad we’ve ever fought.

The de-facto big bad of classic if you count raid tiers was Kel’thuzad. Who def killed. But classic was,… classic. Raggy killed, C’thun killed, Nerfarian killed. TBC: Illidan killed. Wrath: Arthas killed. Cata: Deathwing killed. Mists: Garrosh killed. WoD: Who was the big bad here? Uh archimonde I guess? He def killed. Legion: Sargeras killed. BFA: N’zoth killed. Shadowlands: Jailer did not kill. Not counting the non-canon deaths of players in the raid encounter.

Yet this was a character they purported as titan++ considering sargeras could destroy entire planets almost effortlessly killing billions of life forms. Jailer didn’t once show that level of power. He never directly killed. Just sent his minions to kill. Even the lich king who was the… king of minions had killed in person. We even die to him canonically.

Sometimes when he got bored, he would do a Ozzy Osbourne impersonation and eat a few Maw Rats by biting off their heads. :scream:

Poor Maw Rats :frowning:

well, the reason death is so bad is because it’s permanent and final.

given the context of Shadowlands… death itself is an invalid argument. so “killing” means nothing in that context. Although the fully-devoured soul would qualify is dead-dead. Arthas fartscene comes to mind.

Going back to Shadowlands lore is illegal.

He didn’t kill Arthas’ soul either though. The mournblade was made by runecarver. And the final thing that killed his soul was the destruction of the domination runes on the mournblade. Once again people died because of his orders but he didn’t do it. Anyone can boss people around. But to actually snuff out life, to destroy a soul. Every villain we’ve seen has down it casually. He didn’t even kill us so he could torture us in the maw. He could’ve nuked us right as we were opening the gate to oribos if he was truly titan ++ power.

Nah, his only job was to send every soul into the worst zone that Blizzard ever created.

A fate worse than death.

Who? Never heard of him.

Is that a dude from a non-canon fanfiction?

So Hitler didn’t kill?? Since he never directly killed anyone. Just trying to understand your logic

Lol he sent a multitude of souls to Hell.

That’s way worse.

No one escapes the Maw. He also killed a lot of his enemies in the Maw that tried to rise up and fight him btw.

Technically might be true. However, he destroys souls. Soul ash from torghast is a prime example.

Yes, he only dragged countless souls into the Maw that would have ended up in one of the covenant sanctums. Sounds so much better than “killing” a mortal body.

All I hear is Commander Turalyon from Stormwind. Same voice actor and all lol.

Turalyon the Echidna.

I thought it was heavily implied, if not outright stated, that dying in Shadowlands (as a soul) is a final death, no afterlife, no reincarnation, no salvation, you cease to exist.

Neither Hitler nor Manson personally killed anybody either. So what? They get the brunt of responsibility because they gave the order to have people killed.

Aside from the interview way back that said he was titan++, there were no signs in game that ever showed this. If anything the game went on to say the Jailer was a member of the Patheon of Order and thus was an Equal to a Titan.

Seeing how Sargeras was already Titan++ (seeing how he soloed the Patheon) I really have my doubts that the Jailer was in any way more powerful than Sargeras and was sadly just a puppeteer that Blizzard tried to give credit for stuff just to make him see big and mean.

obviously you were never in any of my Raidfinder groups.

Blizzard said consciousness cannot be destroyed only “dispersed” dying in shadowlands means your anema was consumed or destroyed. Same with the burning legion eating you. No anima, no ghost, no spirit. But you still exist in some form and might gather more anima or reincarnate or something at a later time. That’s what they said about demons experiencing true death such as Kil’jaden.

That sounds even worse than not existing. I’m going to assume the consciousness isn’t aware of this horrifying dispersement.
