As a response to a recent blue post posing this question:
“If Wrath is a bit of a stopping point for you, what would make you most interested in playing WoW Classic in the future? (Seasons, Fresh Start experiences, or anything that appeals to you)”
No, no, no, no.
Stop.
No more expansions. No more “fresh”. No more Seasons. Just stop.
Do what Jagex did. Revive your classic and INNOVATE for once. What happened? You used to be innovators. Now you just play the same song over and over again like a crusty barfly on a battered acoustic guitar?
Do something new. Lateral changes. Reimagine WOTLK. Create new content-specific raids. Expand upon the lore of classic, TBC and WOTLK even more with new zones, new quest lines IN OLD ZONES (is your mind boggled??) and new dungeons.
New PvP sets, new armor designs with a classic feel.
But that would require them to actually like the game.
Do you think that the devs which designed Shadowlands and BfA systems like the game or its playerbase? no lol.
All you can hope is a miracle under the microsoft umbrella next year. So better to not have many expectations from a zombie company.
So… just what? “Stop?” That’s not something that happens, ever, in a continuously flowing sequence of events, i.e. life…
Some people have been saying this since WoW Classic came out. Apparently, it’s a miniscule minority, as proved out over time by literal factual evidence-based population over time as we’ve progressed.
We can hope, but I highly doubt we will ever see an “Oldschool WoW” version come out, with brand new content never put in the game before, that is PLAYER Voted…
I got my quest cape after The Darkness of Hallowvale came out, and wow… the transformation OSRS has received as a Runescape fan was completely beyond my wildest dreams.
Personally I would love to see a guild Ironman mode for WoW, but alas it will never happen.
Bruh there are already one or two more grandmaster level quests in the Vampyre quest line. OSRS has transformed completely again since you last played.
Blizzard doesn’t have the resources to pump out content like that. The graphical requirements to make content for WoW are so much higher than what they are for OSRS.
Blizz wants to release old expacs with minimal dev time because of sweet, sweet money.
