Jadefire Stomp

Its the most visually pleasing and i love fistweaving. I do not want to play a ranged casting healer. Make jadefire stomp a speed boost, instant cast heal, a large aoe heal, doesnt matter, but my tauren needs to stomp the ground and make green lights shoot everywhere. The sound for the animation is just so pleasing. Please bring it back in some form.

JFS can still work for ranged healers too! Its one of the coolest monk abilities.

Removing the heal from it is just silly >:(

Are they removing the damage from it for DPS players >.> why do the healers gotta suffer.

I heard it was removed entirely :frowning:

Jadefire stomp is awesome, would have rather lost clunky sheilun’s gift.

I checked the phase 2 notes and it said the healing was removed.

But this is still bad in my opinion! I wont pretent that i am a MW main, tww and DF leaned too hard into fistweaving for me.

But it feels wrong to jot have it heal anymore.

Also does anyone else find it ironic that barely a single xpac after adding glyphs for the SL abilities they are removing half of the skills again >.>

Hate that ability and how it functions and looks.

You end up guessing where its actual ground aoe begins or ends because they decided to make it look “pretty” over actual functionality.

Any “ground aoe based” healing is also awful and should be removed imo. Far too many people love to avoid any good aoe ground affects as if they are the plague.

Especially with how they keep adding more and more swirlys, anything positive is
drowned out and forces people to immediately move out anyway. Backwards design.

Hopefully this changes in midnight.

nobody except the casting monk can see jadefire stomp after it’s initial application, it fades as part of blizzards attempt to “declutter” combat.

so luckily, you can throw it at dps and they don’t know they’re moving out of good (i.e. they can still pretend they’re standing in bad, as most dps are wont to do). for me - it’s one of the most fun/satisfying buttons to press in the game - this coming from a 20 year wow veteran with 52 alts, over 42 of them leveled and 10-20 consistently in endgame content. i hate “damage to do healing” style healing, JFS was what converted me.

JFS is one ability I hope they don’t remove - and in fact bring back as a button you press, the pruning/purge is bad enough with addon loss. there are plenty of things you can remove without taking an iconic spell that has been game-changing since it was introduced as faeline stomp. Granted it’s been controversial, but I thought it was mostly ww monks who hated the ability as a maintenance buff.

I’m sorry you don’t like it, you’re welcome to not play a monk or run with monk healers.

honestly even the half hearted “we’re attaching it to another ability” is massively disappointing - I went through the trouble of leveling/gearing/learning to heal as a fistweaver specifically because i LOVE jadefire stomp, it’s pretty gutting to see it removed like this. There isn’t a lot of positive that came out of shadowlands, I feel like this spell in its current iteration was a net positive.

Yeah, I love JFS too, it just feels good to press like paladin conc. Like it’s one of the few monk moves that feels more oomphie over graceful

SUCH a pretty animation. I have heard it can be frustrating to work with but man, if they can keep it somehow, why not?

yeah it’s easily the most satisfying ability in the game. if they remove it, that’s just a sign that that God hates us

it’s really not frustrating. i think a lot of things about monk can be frustrating. like life cocoon doing nothing for the tank because it has no DR. or like mistweavers basically contributing nothing to damage despite being focused on offense. jadefire stomp is one of the only things that keeps me sane on my mistweaver

Dude it’s funny you say that, because I had been thinking it would make more sense to get rid of that myself. It adds way too many talent options and no matter what you choose it’s “meh” at best.

Time to shelve the Monk again for another couple of expansions until they get the cool stuff again. :frowning:

I’m confused! Do I stomp that much?

i enjoy JF stomp so much. going to be a sad day to lose that as Mist in Midnight. :sob:

i woke up today and realized for the umpteenth time that we might have a future where this ability isn’t central to one of our builds and i threw up in my mouth. blizzard pls

I’m also disappointed. Removing the positional gameplay for MW is fine, but the ability could have been reworked into a damage ability or another healing ability. Our rotation feels empty now without Jadefire Stomp.

Read the Emperor’s Elixir talent in midnight.

The ability is tied to TFT-RSK/RWK now if talented, no positional requirements, just upfront extra damage to up to 5 enemies. Check the talent Floweret mentioned.

Hot take but I am kinda glad it went this way. It should have never made it out of Memelands imo. Removing the positional requirements makes it an interesting pick but only if you run Way of the Crane. ( because you get more transfer dmg-healing with that build/playstyle )

Way of the Serpent can mostly ignore it thankfully. ( though I might pick it up for the extra dmg while lvling as MW for midnight )
