New to preservation evoker and need help. I was doing city of threads and got to Izo… How to the hell do I get out of the roots? Other than Deep breath which is a 2 minute cc I have no clue and I kept dying in the root which caused the key to fail. How do I do this boss?
For Preservation you have Deep Breath and Dream Breath (unless Dream Breath isn’t taken for keys?)
Primary means have been to stack on the tank during the root cast and there being enough damage going out that they can burn the roots down for those who don’t have a means to instantly clear it. Rest is just defensive usage to not be popped by raw damage and should be free before orbs are sent in.

Thanks, I was quite close to melee due to evokers range issues, for m+ you generally don’t spec into dream breath but I guess I could for that dungeon. Maybe I also just have to be more vocal about my issues before the fight so the party members can look out.

Party is supposed to stack for it unless they have a means to break it reliably.
You can use deep breath and dream flight, but those won’t always be available. The whole fight is basically slowly backing up around the room while stacked.
It’s dream flight, not dream breath, and you don’t need it.
You have a team for a reason. They can help you break roots.
Technically, you can spend a point in dream flight, and you can also equip a pvp trinket, but that’s rather overkill.
By default, you have deep breath to break roots as well as emerald communion.
