I've Started a YouTube Show for Leveling a WoW Character

Don’t worry. I’m not using this forum to promote it, so I won’t be providing any links. But I would love to hear about your own leveling experiences as well as your most memorable zones and quests. I YouTube for a living, but WoW is fairly new territory when it comes to the work I do.

The character is on Alliance, so I’ll mostly be leveling 1-60 in Eastern Kingdoms. Where do YOU like to travel?

EDIT: So far, here’s what I’m thinking…

1-60
Gilneas > Elywnn Forest > Westfall > Duskwood > STV > Redridge > Burning Steppes > Arathi Highlands > Hinterlands > Western Plaguelands > Eastern Plaguelands > Blasted Lands

60-70
Hellfire Peninsula > Nagrand > Netherstorm

70-80
Borean Tundra > Dragonblight > Grizzly Hills > Storm Peaks

80-85
Vashj’ir

85-90
Dread Wastes

90-100
Shadowmoon Valley > Talador > Nagrand > Gorgrond

100-110
Val’Sharah > Stormheim > Highmountain

110-120
Stormsong Valley > Dtrustvar

When I level a new character in EK, I always quest through Westfall, Redridge, Duskwood, and the Eastern and Western Plaguelands

I leveled my last character to 110 via:

The Horde zones always put me off on leveling a horde character.

Usually I go Duskwood > westfall > Redridge mountains or loch mordan > wetlands > arathi highlands. Wetland is kind of slow because you have to travel a lot, but arathi highlands compensate the time wasted, quests there give a lot of exp and do not require too much effort.

Once I reach level 40 I go through badlands (ultra fast) > burning steps > searing gorge or badlands > swamp of sorrows > blasted lands.

I stopped visiting stranglethorn valley and both plaguelands because they all feel too slow compared to the amount of exp you get.

Interesting! Usually I go through Starting Zone > Elwynn Forest > Westfall > DuskWood> Stranglethorn Vale. After that, it’s pretty much up in the air until I reach the Plaguelands. Then it’s Western Plaguelands > Eastern Plaguelands > Blasted Lands. The middle is where I’m lost at this point.

I was thinking maybe after STV going to Redridge Mountaints > Loch Modan > Arathi Highlands > Hinterlands.

I should also probably add that I’m only leveling through questing and no LFG :slight_smile:

I prefer to take my time leveling, and go for scenery/quests I enjoy, so my picks are based on that rather than speed:

Duskwood
Northern Stranglethorn
The Hinterlands (I mostly love how empty it is tbh)
Swamp of Sorrows
Western Plaguelands

With level scaling, this is probably unnecessary. You should be able to go from Stranglethorn Vale to Western Plaguelands.

The big decision would be Outland vs. Northrend.

I plan on doing both :slight_smile: HFP > Nagrand > Netherstorm to BT > DragonBlight > Grizzly Hills > Storm Peaks :slight_smile:

Do you have more than one level 60? I have read some posts saying you can reach level 80 after completing 2 zones.

Several. But I want to take in as many of the sights as possible :slight_smile:
