I've solved the Evoker third spec problem!

I guess they’re going to have to wait until they bring other classes to the race. They talked about bringing it but at the start of dragonflight that isn’t in the story since they’re just joining the alliance. Although, I don’t think anyone would care if does or doesn’t support the lore between race and class restrictions.

Nah some folks are hard up on the lore and those restrictions. I guess the main issue is we know if the extra classes don’t hit launch that likely will put a 2-3 wait on other classes.

If you want an idea of how ranged decoy tanking would work take a BM hunter to Zerith Mortis and have your pet tank Mother Phestis, making sure to move it continuously to make sure none of the melee are standing in the ground cover. Let me tell you, it’s not fun.

A lot of us have been saying that Evoker needs a third spec. A lot of us are unhappy that Evoker can’t tank if it is tied to one race and one race is tied to it. We all know that tanks are rare and that a lot of people hate to tank.

I’ve solved the problem.

First, Evoker should have three specs: caster dps, healing, and tanking.

But the tank should be caster.

You heard me right. A caster tank. The first time ever in WOW’s history. The tank holds threat primarily through AOE spells, similar to consecration and arcane explosion. They are the only tank class that has an AOE taunt that brings in all MOBs in the surrounding areas. A new class, a new tanking experience, and a solution to the outcry against evoker only being able to heal and cast DPS.

I want to hear the community’s thoughts. And if you love it, make some noise so Blizzard and Ion hears!

Ion Hazzikostas has already said that there will never be a tank spec for Evoker. Dracthyr will probably just get classes that can tank in a future expansion instead of Evoker getting a tank spec.
