It’s more common then you think.
If you’re talking about meta, I don’t miss it one little bit!
Elk’s DK lore is that they died saving a Blood Elf tanning salon from burning because one of its customers had put their setting too high and set the establishment on fire.
Elk got them out but died of carbon poisoning. Then Bolvar was like ‘wake up bro’.
To be fair, if it was between going to the Shadowlands or being raised into undeath, I’d view undeath as the better option.
After playing through the expansion… I agree. LOL
Nah I’m a first gen DK
“I’ve sacrificed everything, what have you given?"
The funny thing is, they actually gained far more than whatever they claimed to have “sacrificed” and it sure as heck was NOT “everything”.
Erm… ostracized from society, torturous rituals that a third of those who tried didn’t make it through and died, a demon soul that constantly tortures and taunts within them, burning their own eyes out… I could go on.
I feel like people forget what was really involved with the rituals to become a Demon Hunter. And the book doesn’t even go into full detail, because they had to keep it PG. lol
That’s not “sacrificing”, that’s “trading” to gain better and more powerful abilities. They gain far more after done with those rituals, which is actually by choice.
We all know everything Illidan did was to gain more power and we also know the way he gained that power. He certainly “sacrificed” a LOT, but it was lives of others that he selfishly decided to “sacrifice” without even their knowledge or consent.
Sure it is.
Who knew that sacrificing your entire existence to friends and family and your culture was trading for power. LOL
Ah. Someone who doesn’t understand Demon Hunters or their lore. Got it.
