I dunno, I think the Demon Hunters have neat upgrades. Just consuming demons seems unnessary when you have a good arclight spanner.

Could have died in combat, giving the ubiquitous ultimate sacrifice. Wasn’t guaranteed they were coming back. DH’s lost something, too, (family, old way of life, etc., after the war of the ancients) which prompted them to change tactics and bring the fight to the legion.
