yes, its happened before. that same message above as well.
The timing seems peculiar, so we’ll have to see if they start removing threads they dont like or not.

They even had to take the forums down for a day to get rid of the dislike button.

Yes, it is quite ominous and disconcerting. I expect several hundred threads to be deleted and a multitude of posters to be banned. It looks like they are cleaning house, if in a rather unceremonious way.

Seems most of you were not around years back when the Real ID went up in a boom when Blizzard wanted to link you real name too your Real ID in game…the forums blew up so bad it was crazy…funny thing nothing was ever purged during that time frame…look up story on Real ID and real names…

It happens from time to time.

I doubt it’s to “purge” or remove threads. They have closed and deleted some already, there’s nothing stopping them from deleting more, and based on the employee responses to the lawsuit and corporate’s actions, I’d wager many of the mods are as shocked and angry as players are.

Many times in the past blizz has taken down the forums and when you came back A LOT of posts were gone.

They say no, but if you actually trust that…
