I've moved on from this

I hope you have the money to create your own server to make that copium happen, lol.

It’s the funniest thing that people think they are gonna do all this drastic stuff and grant a whole wish list of things in a one-year expac.

It’s significantly less cope than assuming they’re either going to make two full separate hubs for THE Quel’thalas expansion or the people who assume they’re going to hand over Falconwing square as an exclusively alliance hub (both sides of the same idiotic coin tbh)

No it’s way more cope to think they are gonna completely remove factions instead of giving you more access to cross faction play, because removing everything would be more work than is necessary for the expac.

It’s far less cope to assume they are using the area they already used for cross faction access on the Isle. Since it’s already primed and ready for that. Beyond that you get bigger areas for the expac. But they never mentioned access to the city.

Its actually surprising how fast those sorts of things can change.

Would it be highly reminiscent, sure. But many bits and bobs can shift really really fast. By extension of the Void Elves current existence many things would probably shift somewhat. Either way they could easily establish their own buildings specific to their void based powers while still basing them on a similar architecture.

But also things like showing them using those void crystals we see in their armor and weapons (unreleased heritage ones) would be cool, seeing them learning to harness the void creatures around them and use their void powers. Hell even just seeing them create more void elves from the wayfarers and scholars and how they view things like warlocks, priests, voidblades and ghostblades and so on and so forth. All of that could easily diverge already.

Factions can exist without the war just fine. They’re effectively two ideological alliances. There are races among the Alliance and Horde that will never mesh and should never truly be willing to be in an interconnected setup like the Horde and Alliance represent together.

Sometimes things are too far apart.

Now they don’t have to be in open war to continue being at odds or having skirmishes and scuffles. Battlegrounds can continue to exist and theres no real reason to destroy the factions, while it makes little sense for the factions to not exist.

The peoples are different on both sides as well as how they view the world.

The thing you called copium was

(Hope you’re ready for the all-elven council because neither the nelf nor the belf capital are leaving neutralcraft)

They’ve already said there will be some sense of elven unity, I’m sure they can do that without deleting the factions wholesale (I’m not delusional enough to think they’ll do it before TLT is over if at all), and the idea that they’re going to reinstate hard faction locks on either Bel’ameth or the updated version of Silvermoon (which will either be the expansion version of Valdrakken or will have to be restored to the world as part of MSQ like Bel’ameth) is total nonsense.

Frankly the thing I dread most about Midnight silvermoon isn’t cross faction elven cooperation (I love whenever it shows up, TFT and Suramar are my jam), it’s the revitalization of silvermoon noble RP

Unity doesn’t mean merger. It’s just us working together to defeat the big bad as usual.

And the Belf nor Nelf capitols are neutral so what are you talking about?

Gameplay neutral, I’ve seen cross faction RP groups that included some or all 4 kinds of elves most of the times I’ve been there)

You still cannot enter Teldrassil nor Silvermoon cross-faction even in RP.

Are we doing the horde version of delulu players who pretend they can’t visit Suramar anymore on alliance toons because it’s technically a horde member?

(okay and I’m glad for you if you feel like spending Midnight in BC Silvermoon, actual Midnight Silvermoon will be an open city after a decade of peace)

Suramar is not an accessible capitol. When you start a Nightborne, you don’t even stay there.

Citation needed.

Take it up with Metzen

Metzen didn’t say you are getting access to the city.

We fought a war like… 5 years ago. Bfa was only 5-6 years ago (in game). Old Gods time does fly though.

I think it’s 7 with the dumb post SL time jump.

I’m sorry that understanding contextual clues is a skill you lose with terminal faction brain (half my toons are horde btw, so the idea that I don’t have access is silly, but Metzen clearly talked about uniting scattered elven tribes, so again, take it up with the big man)

Why are you conflating unrelated topics? And why are you SO damn aggro? You’re entire point is making assumptions and being upset about the way things were. None of that ever killed the game considering the most popular it ever was, was at the height of the things you’re disparaging. Just stop being wrapped up in your RP world and look around.

There were not contextual clues. He said we are working together to protect the well from the void. The well isn’t even in the city.

Its a tad unclear… one dev said 5 years from bfa to df but another said only 3 and then they made the line in game about it vague and non-specific.

I’m aggro because people talking about Midnight as though they were going to write half an expansion only to allow one group to do MSQ is as dumb as the people doing the same about 10.2 and how they were oh so oppressed for seeing horde players in Bel’ameth. I find it incredibly dumb to the point of pissing me off.

I’m sick of this nonsense permeating this player base. I’m sick of entertaining every delusion pertaining to it. At this point I’d rather they rip the band aid and force everyone to always play together than keep managing faction hyperloyalists’ feefees.

You’ll still have MSQ. It won’t be in the city though. The city has nothing to do with it. It’s the well and the areas around Silvermoon.

This here is why they should never cater to the few that want everything that is core to the game removed. Because they want it out of malice.
