When has Ret ever been OP? Last AWC literally had an assassin rogue on EVERY TEAM. How many rets were in it? None?

Ret has never been OP besides a single patch in wotlk. It’s funny as soon as Ret is S tier, ppl lose their minds. But when rogue mage and priest and wars are S tier, it’s expected.

Its funny how short sighted you are. Many of these “fotm” players, as you so eloquently put it, are actually ret mains that have been left in the dark for so long that the rest of the playerbase forget they even existed in the first place. Ive mained ret since wrath and since then ret has been subject to nerf after nerf after nerf. Now we finally have a chance to play the game with the class we enjoy and we are met with vitriol and backlash. “Oh no! The PvP meta has 5 top class/specs instead of just 4! What ever will I do!? Better start crying!” I would argue that we are no better off than arms warrior has been for quite some time. Instead of pissing and moaning, why dont you ask blizzard to rework your class with the same quality of care and attention? Or would you just rather tear people down because you dont what to do againt a ret that isnt hamstrung around a 2 minute burst window?

Because haters tend to have a crabs-in-a-barrel mentality. They rather see another class get nerfed as opposed to campaigning for their class to get a re-work.

Thats a laughably bold statement. Especially when you consider that Blizzard themselves said Ret Paladins die more than any other class. If Ret was always so good then why was it so rare to see Rets in AWC, RWF and the MDI? Who is delusional?

Of course! The two patches from the previous expansion! The 2v2 comp that certainly wasnt hard countered by mages, rogues, hunters, warlocks and convoke. Well i suppose that brief window erases everything that happened before that all the way back to about MoP. Glad you stopped by otherwise i would have completely forgotten that 2v2 IS a representation of M+, 3v3 arena and Mythic Raiding. All this time I had believed that MM dominated 2v2 since there was one in almost every match.

i tought that arcane mage would be an hard counter for ret atm since they can slow us forever and steal our freedom but i guess i was wrong

also whats a fotm, i mainly played 3 classes since tbc, shaman, hunter and paladin, am i one of the so called fotm player?

When someone says ret war they’re generally referring to 3s, and ret war rdruid/rsham was dominant in shadowlands. There were more prot pally war 2s comps in sl than ret war most likely. Ret in 2s was not the play

Necrolord warrior buffing ret damage was indeed very friendly

Either way there are nerfs incoming for sure, rets going from 1800 to 3000 in a day is going to draw attention

This is the truth, i set my ret down when the class was so unenjoyable during the beginning of the season. glad to see we’re finally an s tier class.
