I've had 2 tickets trying to refund my Midnight pre-purchase disappear without being filled

Looks like their strategy is to make it as annoying as possible to actually refund your Midnight purchase. Maybe third times a charm.

Depends on where you are located, you can always mention in your ticket about consumer rights and laws, and then also follow up with those organizations if you are not being treated as a valued paying customer which is your right.

Pre purchasing in 2025, who woulda thunk.

Good luck. I would try, but with all of their usage rules I know I would be denied.

Making 2 tickets won’t do anything. Have to dig past the wall of AI first, which requires making endless tickets. Only then will a real person finally hear you and address your issue.

use the refund option instead of opening tickets?

It’s only a matter of time before they figure out how to do away with online refunds entirely and follow in the footsteps of other corporations that make you send a physical letter through the mail system in order to get a refund.

You will want to hit edit on your post and then move your post to the Customer Support forum. To do that, use the drop down menu in the edit window to change it from General Discussion to Customer Support.

That is an Information Desk to help folks navigate the support system, explain policies, explain account services, etc. Nobody there can grant you a refund, but they can help track down missing tickets, figure out why you might be having issues with the refund, etc.

Refunds are now mostly self-help. The system will refund any purchase that is eligible under the Refund Policy without a GM or anyone getting involved. Makes it easy and fast.

You only need a GM if you don’t meet the Refund policy requirements - like using aspects of bundles (game time, boosts, beta access).

Note: If this is a VERY recent purchase and it has not finalized yet then the system can’t refund it. It has to actually complete the transaction before they can refund the transaction. They can’t stop it mid processing.

Starting a refund opens a ticket, that’s how the system works.

heh i wouldn’t know.

i don’t purchase stuff unless i actually want it.

sounds like you may not be eligible for a refund.

take Mirasol’s advice, and move the thread to see if CS can shed any light on your issue

Right but it should be the self help system that will automatically grant you the refund if your account is eligible under the refund policy. You should not need to actually put in a real ticket unless the refund is denied and you want a GM to review it manually.

Did you even get to the step that it was denied? If you can’t even get to that point then there is something up with the website, your browser, etc. Again, move this to CS so they can take a look and see if there is a website glitch not letting you get to the refund self help widget successfully. They can tell you what to do next once the Blues get in.

That is what that Info Desk is for.

Well I wanted it before I found out they were literally just openly lying to us about their addon changes and now we’re losing even ELVui and can’t even filter my druid HoTs to show up how I want them in my raid frames.

if you used the boost token from your purchase, then your purchase is not refundable. They would have to go through and remove the boosted character and all of the rep that you gained with it along with all of the valor stones that you probably also got free with it and a handful of other things. The fine print outlined all of that.

I was about to state this too.
Using any immediately available consumables will invalidate your legibility for a refund.
I am curious if this means traders tender too.

Either way the refund system should have informed you of this, not just deleting the request.

yeah, it applied to all usable consumables from the purchase. So if you used the boost or the tenders, you automatically invalidated the refund.

Did you use anything from the expac

Because in general they’re very quick to resolve payment issues

This is only true with how the game currently plays. Midnight gameplay and combat is going to be almost completely different. Going back to simpler times in a way fight wise. In this scenario add-ons are less needed.

Blizzard is also trying to natively include things like this in the game. So it would probably be best to Not freak out over a whole lot of nothing and experience beta before you make such a decision.

If however you give beta a try and decide the game is no longer for you at least then you are making an informed decision. Right now you really have no real information to go off of other than hearsay

If I wanted to go back to simpler times I would play Classic, but I don’t because the game play is slow and class design is boring.

Unless you used the boost, this didn’t happen.

Well, maybe you’ve learned your lesson so that next time you won’t bother to pre order digital goods.
