I used to get pretty trollish with folks, I was pretty rude all the time, doing stuff like trash people with profanity if they ruined my key. Well, I took a break from wow, came back and it was …such a safe place to come back to under the immense stress i feel in my life. I finally had a moment of clarity realizing many other people play wow for the same reason i do: a safe place, a fun place, a magical world where you can forget all of life’s insanity. And i realized the last thing anyone would want is to have some jerk freak out on them with stress in-game. Well…I am sorry if I ever did that to anyone out there! I grew up a bit and learned my lesson. Let’s keep wow, and the forums, civil, decent and stress free. Love you all! Peace

I try my best to be kind and polite to people in WoW.
Sometimes PuG-ging makes it challenging, but then I say to myself, “Grimm, even these rat-faced garbage dwellers need love and you should be nice”.
And I do that.

So you finally grew up, or at least think you did. How you treat people when you’re “stressed” is what really matters. If you still treat people like crap when you’re “stressed” then you haven’t learned a thing.

I honestly don’t get why folks feel they have to be elitist to everyone sometimes. It’s a game! It’s supposed to be fun! I always try and help out when I see others struggling. they have a question I might know the answer to? I’ll answer it to the best of my knowledge. The LFR is struggling? Let’s see if we can’t try and explain the fight so everyone understands it. “go look it up” … doesn’t help everyone. Sometimes just taking a few moments to explain something… does more good than brushing them off and acting rude. Keep rocking. we’re all in this game of fun together!

speaking for myself, there isn’t as much trash talk as I expected, but when it does happen…(wo)man…
I started about a month ago, love the world that has been created. lots to do–even more to figure out between UI optimization, trying to figure out add-ons as a Mac user, and then understanding WoW questing vs. what I came up on in EverQuest.
I understand the professionalism req, when you sign up for a dungeon or any event with someone relying on you. what I don’t understand is that when someone does a dungeon for the first time …die (of course) die again (cuz they are old) and someone berates them, dude, I’m one week old.

I took a break from Dragon Flight it was too complicated for my play style, and yes, all the verbal abuse while even trying to do my best, got to me. I have been playing SOD and am now a level 40 Lock. I have never seen so many nice people, in all my WoW experience. People will go out of there way to help you finish a quest they have already accomplished. Buffs come freely as other class pass by. It is like a whole different environment. I play on Wild Growth, to Me it is a very special place to be .

I gave up on hateful trolling long ago. Wasn’t easy… and dear Titan it ain’t always easy now. But it permeates and corrodes the psyche, holding on to that shizzle.
It does test me though. Having your EB 24 get bricked down to a 19, because you’re only one person doing Afflicted, while practically spamming Hands and Sacrifice, and WoG, and Intercession is on CD again, and people won’t interrupt the heal, or stay the hell out of orbs, or KILL THE DAMN FLOURISHING ANCIENT… AND NOW YOUR EB AND DHT ARE STILL AT 18…
*breathe…*center… *calm… *Cleanse…
