That looks really good. There is a Churches fairly close but it’s in a really sketchy part of town.
Churches has been my go to chicken place for years. Get some mashed potatoes and fried okra with it.
Their chicken sandwiches are also really good.
Is Churches kind of hard to find? I can only think of two locations off the top of my head. I feel like I never see them when I travel.
Good ol Popeyes. I feel like no matter what you order, if it’s simple or just a couple of things, you are going to end up with the wrong order somehow. They should just have us pull up and they can hand you a random bag of food that about right for however much money you give them. It is good tho, the sauce is great.
I think they did.
I know they changed a lot of stuff with how they did food prep after the 90s and I’m sure they kept on changing things to cut costs and probably reduce allergens and what not in their food.
I always dip the biscuits in mashed potatoes lol! No idea why, it’s just soooooo delicious!! nom nom!
Churches used to be down here. Super duper close too; but hurricane Katrina wiped everything out. They never rebuilt the building.
You’re on the Gulf Coast?
Have things recovered since then? It’s not something we really ever hear about, so I guess the assumption is that everything went back to normal and got rebuilt.
Churches? Get that outta here! Bojangles is where its at!
Which admittedly may be a regional thing, but the Churches were I’m at ranks below Popeyes, KFC, Chic-fil-A, Bojangles and whatever fried chicken you can pick up at a grocery store or gas station.
I live in Houston, When Hurricane Harvey hit, so many places was still not fixed even a year or two later
I always see peoples houses on the east side of houston with tarp covering their homes, still
Chalmette - 7 miles from New Orleans. Yep! Everything is rebuilt and re-running back in its prime!
Oh ya? Well Arbys has a Roast Chicken Bacon Swiss Sandwich but none of you would know about that because nobody eats at Arbys unless they live next door to one. Or have coupons.
Honestly whenever I want chicken I go to Burger King.
Spicy Chicken Sandwich is so good.
lmao.
Shut your dirty Popeye’s munchin’ mouth!
We used to eat at Arby’s a lot when I was a kid. That Horsey Sauce…
I miss Long John Silvers chicken, so rare to find one here in Houston now
Carls Jr had a spicy chicken sandwhich too for just 99cents but those days are gone. Barely anyone has a dollar menu anymore.
Never tried that.
Back in my day that was my Chili Fries stop.
lmao.
if you like Taco Bell’s Cheese Roll up
Me 2, but it seems like in the huge city I live in, there’s just one Long John Silvers. First time I had lobster was in one. They were called lobster bites, I could never afford real lobster.
Popeyes has been the superior place for a while now.
