Can’t remember if it was meckagnomes or KT, but there is a toy that directly swaps your race with the corresponding faction.
Human - Orc, Spacegoat - Belf. etc. Literally goes down the line of the character creation screen.
Could be this or something similar.

I saw an alliance tauren a few days ago. I stood there /bonking them on the head and warning passerbys of the fake tauren.

Sweet now I just have to get my hands on it so I can run around as an Alliance Vulpera. As it should have been.
Seeing this after playing through the questline for them with the alliance in Vol’dun makes me sick
