Racials should just be removed. Races should be cosmetic.
The Alliance had also literally:
-Put children orcs in concentration camps where they were used as slaves
-Cut off trade with the Horde due to the Wrathgate causing Durotar to be depeleted of natural resources needed for the Horde.
-Killed civillian Blood Elves in Dalaran due to the actions of a few Garrosh loyalists.
And much more that I havenât mentioned.
Yet depsite those things, both factions still team up to face common enemies and have been doing so since WC3.
It already does? We literally have raids where opposite faction NPCâs are working together.
This is correct, but itâs who among that 52% Horde went Horde that mattered the most. When it was 52/48 Alliance, Horde wasnât at a major disadvantage when it came to finding groups to do challenging content, but when it was 52% Horde and 48% Alliance it became nigh-impossible for Alliance to do the same. Once Throne of Thunder rolled around and Horde racials started becoming considerably better in raid (Trolls getting a 5% damage buff on three bosses just by virtue of existing, not to mention the sheer power of Berserking+DoT snapshotting which put Troll Warlocks 15% ahead of other Warlocks) everything started falling apart for Alliance and it just got progressively worse every tier thereafter.
That shift constituted a very large number of Alliance raiders and guilds, and the mid-level players followed suit as a result. The end result was that while the overall populations were still reasonably similar, the overwhelming majority of the competitive playerbase was Horde by the end of Shadowlands and if cross-faction raiding wasnât implemented when it was (itâs honestly a miracle that it could be implemented in Shadowlands considering how much spaghetti code needed to be sifted through; that genuinely couldâve been an expansion-selling feature) most Alliance CE guilds wouldâve genuinely gone Horde at the start of DF. Mine was talking about it; Merpâs previous guild before joining mine talked about it to some extent as well although they agreed they likely wouldâve been cannibalized by better Horde guilds that raid their same hours. I talk with most of Sargerasâs better guilds and I think literally half of our top 20 at least discussed switching to Horde if cross-faction wasnât implemented by the time DF released.
I really, genuinely think youâre underestimating just how bad it was over here. I did high M+ during 9.1 and the only competent groups were the ones that networked with the few top Alliance guilds in our region. Pugging to 2855+ was completely impossible for us despite the title cutoff being much lower, but Horde could pug their way to Tormented Hero very easily by comparison.
because it solves the biggest issue, finding raiding groups
The wow population is smaller than itâs been. When it was massive the faction divide was sustainable.
Itâs not anymore.
Yeah, the only thing that made the faction system âworkâ was wows massive population. But already back in vanilla we saw it fail as a system with most servers settling as either horde or alliance servers.
And we could easily see that this lopsided behaviour was affecting the game region wide as well, as seen with the mythic hall of fame which showed that alliance had 1/10 of the top players. And with pvp we could see the queues be 30 min for horde while alliance got a measly seconds queue times.
Wow never had this issue in its 15 years but why now?
Real talk, I saw the word Peacecraft and thought of my Highschool anime crush Milliardo Peacecraft Gundam Wing lol
My guild is primarily alliance. Whenever I mess up a mechanic or âaccidentallyâ pull a boss and wipe the group itâs at least 23 alliance deaths for just mine.
Low population.
Ah so you was a real one I see.
It seems that OP hasnât played or doesnât know Warcraft 3.
When Ally and Horde allied themselves to defeat the Legion.
When Thrall and Jaina were best friends (There is even a old meme saying Thrall and Jaine dating)
etc
Thrall is legit friend with Anduin, Do you even play the game? Or just Stuck on forums for 16 years
Because their playerbase continues to dwindle and it is problematic where content is concerned.
If we are keeping with the tree burning down, that means that the NE population would have absolutely tanked.
Should that mean Blizzard forces a percentage of NE players to race change since in theory NEâs should have lost more than half their population?
If lore was so important, in raids like Siege of Org, shaman characters should not have worked against Garrosh since Thrall couldnât commune with the elements and they were tortured for miles around.
If we care about lore so much, half the classes shouldnât work in half the raids.
Itâs not a nature themed raid, druids should be useless, since they really need to be around plants and nature to function at all.
But Blizzard puts player enjoyment and playability over that, so shamans and druids work no matter what environment they are in.
Cross raiding is a thing now since less people are playing.
They donât tell us the sub numbers for a reason now.
You have to understand that the player in question does not care how awful your time was but what he benefits from it. That BfA did a number on Alliance pride, guilds and gameplay is not his concern but how he can revel in the misery of it.
Was the opposite for Oceanic servers.
Alliance numbers eclipsed Hordeâs by enormous proportions.
- Additionally, going into âWarmodeâ â as Horde? That would be suicide âŚ
The numbers of the Alliance were just that overwhelming.
However Cross-Faction play certainly made things a lot better.
Shame they donât have it in Panda-Remix at the moment.
Remix has cross-faction raiding as well, actually. It is only random queue content that is not cross-faction, which is how it works in Retail as well.
No, itâs world of peacecraft now.
