It's time to un nerf rogues

It’s incredibly apparent for anyone who was around during DF when the ret paly and outlaw rogue reworks dropped how huge the disparity in design areas was.

Ret became the current version that rocks so much ret palys as a spec dwarf all rogue representation.

That is not coincidence. A simpleton could see that rogues were designed with all the awful design choices from a time of WoW that no longer exists, while ret pallies were designed for current wow.

Every other class was given rogue tools such as stuns, clears, get out of jail cards. while rogue burst was taken away and its utility made obsolete for current content design.

All rogue specs need to have their valleys lifted and APM lowered. Their CDs all need to be lowered to 30 sec to a minute CD. It’s time they be modernized like all the other classes and stop living in the past.

If their utility is gutted and shared to other classes, their burst and AoE given to other classes, it’s time they get their damage back. It seems like design is totally fine with amping other classes utility and design spaces to the MAX as long as it’s not damage. Because everyone has to do the same damage apparently?

It’s time you stop holding rogues to standards you dont hold other classes to anymore.

Please never put that guy who did outlaw in DF on anything rogue related ever again and please get rid of the insane spinning plates. Even Ion called out rogue for its absurdity in design.

Put your money where you mouth is and do something.

Rogue are absolutely fine in PVE and PVP. I agree they tend to have a higher “APM” style as a whole, but they are a ton of fun to learn and master.

Yeh that must be why they have lower representation than a class released last expansion, or why ret pallies as a spec have 4x the amount of players as rogues as a class.

Your experience is the odd one here.

If so few people play rogue, they should probably stop listening to those people when it comes to making design choices. They clearly are out of touch.

Looool best laugh I have read all day.

Rogue always has been a niche class in WoW, maybe in Vanilla it was properly represented, but after that Rogue always was more of a underdog class with a extremely high end potential. Comparing it to Paladin is unfair on every aspects.

Rogues as a whole have always had low representation.

Since as far bad as wrath. This is nothing new and nothing to do with the class.

Ret is more popular because of class fantasy/visuals/being a hybrid/ease of play. Rogue has always been one of the harder classes to play.

The most people on this game should be ignored. Especially ones that think 30 seconds CDs is good for the game.

Why do people always use the “It has low representation” as an argument?

It’s fine if it doesn’t have the numbers of Paladin, Rogue is there for those that enjoy the fantasy and gameplay.

Rogues are only hard because of design issues. While every other class was given rogue damage, rogue utility and self healing was left in the dust.

Frankly, I myself have played Ret Pala a bit during season 1 and I must say the short burst windows every 30 sec are extremely fun, I really wish all specs had something like that (without changing classes too much).

Unfortunately I’m a hater of the pink class for many reasons so there’s no way I’m ever gonna main Paladin but I will admit it was fun.

BM hunter says hi

It’s always unpopular because it’s not a fun class, especially in pve where they never really found a satisfying way to incorporate rogues stealth/control. Sure, there’s a bit of cc in pve but people in general are resistant to non-damage buttons outside of high levels of play.

Not to mention as Snoz says it generally underperforms if the user is below average, unlike specs such as ret, beast mastery, warrior specs, etc.

Way to miss the actual points I made. Not every spec of rogue is hard.

Rogues have always been a low populated class.

Good rogues have plenty of utility.

What about BM? It doesn’t have 30 second CDs.

Rogue it fun to try and play. But when it comes to mastering them you get left in the dust by every other class. Then the rogues who did master it gaslight the heck out of you by saying “rogues are easy” or “it’s a skill issue”. Meanwhile they have to download 7 addons just to play the same as a pally with zero addons.

Yes the class needs fixing. But I don’t trust it anymore because this is what it was fixed too! Been up and down the rogue rollercoaster, it’s now a farming alt for me. Dagger fart rules when farming old content.
I have no desire to ever get my hopes up again on this class.

Rogues and there 40 buttons cuz they have 6 attacks, 12 maintenance buttons, and 22 forums of utility

It’s very well designed

lol when have you ever played a rogue?

Class is terrible to play in pve for most people and outlaw is convoluted to the point where people just download a big weakaura that sits in the middle of the screen so they can function on the spec.

It’s always good and fun in pvp where it was basically designed for. :dracthyr_blob_dance_animated:

I surprisingly find outlaw more fun now than it’s been in a while.

I just don’t have the time to keep hunter/lock geared and gear rogue.

Idk, Outlaw in Delves is quite lovely. :slightly_smiling_face:

I really enjoy current Blade Flurry.

The clear reason is Ret is easier and the new class is range which too much melee and both are both easier to play well.
