Well, it’s called trade chat for some reason right… the people who should be moved to other place are supposed to be who don’t use it for… trade.
Yes, spam is annoying, but i think there are other solutions, like create a separated chat just for casual talk or increase the time to post again after 2 posts.
They’ll move to whatever channel is busiest, regardless of what it’s called. If everyone chatted in Local Defence, that’s where the spam would be.
Boosting ads are not fine when they’re clogging up LFG, but legitimate boosters/boosting communities don’t advertise in there. It’s all the questionable websites that do.
There are also plenty of ads in trade chat linking to websites that sell all sorts of real money wow services.
The fact that an ad states “gold only” doesn’t mean they won’t accept cash or give you a cash price after they get you in discord. Somebody in the bgs forum started a thread not long ago where they contacted every PvP carry seller currently on their server. All said “gold only” in the ads. 100% brought up a cash price without being prompted in any way.
They would need to run sting operations on a regular basis. I see no reason 4 guys shouldn’t be able to sell a run for gold. But right now big outside businesses have taken control, apparently with Blizzard’s blessing.
It should not be the responsibility of the players to take steps to ignore what is going on around them so it can continue to taint the game without restrictions of any kind.
Because the same ad remains up 24/7, even if you report it and temporarily remove it from your view during the current session.
Reporting does nothing, since they are not enforcing their own rules. It appears they do not care that RMT sites are being linked to in both trade chat and the group finder.
Need your M+15 for the week? $50 in the blizzard store and we’ll provide 4 optimized M+ bots to make the process painless and easy. Just AFK at the start of the dungeon and collect loo
Just $5 additional dollars to armor stack and $5 to select which dungeon to run.
One day Blizz will finally try to fix the problem and give everyone a big Ole monkey paw…
They will police trade chat and block all chat that isn’t directly trade related…essentially killing the last auto-joined world chat channel. Then everyone will have something new to complain about
