Its time to kill off NPC high elves

it is the only way to end the argument for them, and blizzard should double down on the void elf and blood elf aspects and quadrable down on the stance that the playable “high elves” already exist as void elves and blood elves and all begging for them should and will be ignored.

No thanks I love our High Elves all around Azeroth and their Thalassian kin.

there is only 2 thalassian kin. blood elves and void elves. light and void. the sunwell rejects the void elves they are a danger to the sunwell.

I have bad news for you, champ.

10.2.7 seems to have the Silver Covenant returning to Dalaran in all their blue-eyed, not voidy goodness.

Not that I particularly want them playable, but “high elves” as a distinct group separate from others is not going anywhere anytime soon.

The addition of them in dalaran seems linked to the void elves as telogrus rift seems to have gained a portal to dalaran.
Maybe theyre going to end up joining the void elves. Who knows. The quests arent on ptr so its anyones guess whats going on here.

Further to what Briselody rightly says, Vereesa is alive and well. I suspect their covenant will play a great part in TWW. There is no doubt Vereesa will want to help her sister.

I mean at this point there’s blue eyed sin’dorei and I assume some of them were because they felt like Quel’thalas was more home than Dalaran or permanent diaspora. Lanesh in mists was already probably that more than the Sunwell’s effects taking only 5 years.

I feel like they could split up Allerian stronghold NPCs between the two - the war is basically over and Halduron himself is a good example of a blood elf who was (and still is) close to people on the other side

Cheers

No more elves!

I’m curious what their plan is for Silvermoon. I expect Void, Blood, and High Elves will all be sharing the capital soon enough.

Why would they update Telogrus if they are just coming to live with us? Seems like they are just updating elf areas.

I feel like this just further reinforces that they aren’t going to do that because they are actually fleshing out that we are all separate which in my opinion is greater than being homogenized and pushed together.

Finally getting rid of the pustule that is Deatholme for good so the Quel’thalas world tree can be regrown (I assume this is part of where the might of all elvenkind-unity stuff comes in the hardest, watch the writing team suddenly remember that sin’dorei and kaldorei were cordial and the former basically saved Tyrande after she nearly sacrified herself for them in TFT, before factions poisoned their storylines)

Just what I suspect given what we know about the Midnight expansion. Quel’Thalas will be invaded by the Void and each of the elvish ancestries will reunite to save it. They spoke about it during BlizzCon.

Uniting is something we’ve done many times in game. It doesn’t mean the Alliance is coming to live with us. To do that, you have to switch factions.

That or the Void Elves are joining the Silver Covenant. Given Alleria’s new armor in The War Within, I think it’s more likely we’re seeing Void Elves join the Silver Covenant. That doesn’t mean EVERY Void Elf, mind you, but thus far the two groups have no canon interactions other than the two sisters.

Which is a bit weird. I feel like the Silver Covenant would probably be open to the Void. They’re not above getting their hands dirty.

If anything I could see the Void Elves being wary of the Silver Covenant, after the Purge of Dalaran. Talk about people the power of the void should not be trusted with.

Kill off major lore characters? Seems like that’s not going to happen just because players want to play as a high elf. Individual deaths associated with an epic storyline being told in-game seem feasible (not a death in some book that suddenly makes an in-game character disappear next patch/expansion).

I thought for sure Sylnvanas would die in Shadowlands, but now I’m pretty sure she and Alleria and Vereesa will all survive for a long time to come.

There’s a likely cross-faction scenario tied to Telogrus, also Midnight is in 2 years, no way are the changes in 10.2.7 for setting that ground.

Vereesa is the only quel’dorei NPC above D-tier.

Just because you want homogenization doesn’t mean the game designers do and thankfully they are reinforcing that by pushing the separation.

We will reunify the scattered elven tribes (I’d rather have homogenization of the elves than farstriders in grunt cosplay hth)

How many elf burnings will this be?

Ah well, they all smell the same in the end.
