I believe it is time for Blizzard to take a new step and allow the alliance to fight horde NPC battlegrounds. With merc and horde purposely logging to ally side to sabotage the few successful runs, we have along with the 90% loss rate for all this old and archaic system needs to be looked at. 20+ runs just to get 500 conquest puts any pathetic grind to shame in this game.
Then it isn’t PvP. If you want to kill NPCs, go raid. If you want to kill NPCs that act like players, have fun doing islands for the rest of time. (And you saw how easy to kill those island NPCs were.)
There do exist ways to fix PvP without literally urinating on the entire system and leaving it in the corner to rot.

I’d love to see Comp Stomp expand to include another battleground or two, as long as they improve the AI. Assuming Blizzard doesn’t forget about “fixing” it for a few years, of course.
Either way, I think such a thing should remain a “once in a while” event and not a standard option.

Play Epics, there are plenty Island Expedition AI bots disguised as real players.

I enjoy BGs but its a problem with such an imbalance. AFK’s, sabotage, and more screws and skews the sides so such a degree even capping on an ally can sometimes take 10+ hours and that is if you are lucky. Not advocating a full change. Just give us more options to enjoy our game. Some ally like doing battlegrounds and some like raiding and doing dungeons. Give us a clean option that is weaker in rewards but removes the toxic corruption that modern online gaming has become. Its rigged to such a point this would at least help alleviate the descripency a bit. Do not make it permanently farmable but maybe a 1 bg a day for the side that loses so much.

What is the point of battlegrounds if you win every single time with no effort lol or are you just another one of those people who want pvp rewards for free like all the people who complain about warmode? It’s not pvp at all if you replace the players with npcs that will never win.
You are basically saying Blizz I want the pvp rewards but don’t wanna do battlegrounds because they are tedious. So let me play against npcs so I can get the conquest points.
If you can’t stand pvp then don’t play it Blizzard is not gonna give people pvp rewards for free. And that isn’t pvp.

Nope. Make it limited in how many you can do a day to one a day. And it should be all but dead with how convoluted the system is. It does not work. When one side overwhelmingly wins and it’s so easy to screw up your own team the system is wide open to trolling, harassment and dirty tactics that make it no longer fun. A good clean attempt and a fun bg are a bygone era and has turned into a toxic gathering for one side to dominate and allow mercs to come in and screw the other side. It is still possible to manipulate the queue to queue the opposite side as your friends to help skew the game.
If the system is this badly broken then maybe it needs to be given an option for npc variations once in a while.
I think you hit the nail on the head since these mercs have been allowed to queue as Alliance our win rate has dropped dramatically and we go into a epic with 10 healers lately and 2 are in the top 10 the others are even been beaten by melee, Blizzard needs to fix this and not allow Hordes to queue as Mercs anymore.
They just need to dump merc mode. If the queues are insane…it might actually convince people to faction change. If all you do in this game is PvP, then you’re going to have a considerably different outlook than the Mythic PvE community that left Alliance en masse.
The existence of merc mode, as I understood it at the time, was to spare the overpopulated Horde the atrocious queue times. Well. Get rid of it. Let them wait an hour for a BG pop. Then let’s see how the population shifts.
OR – and don’t call me crazy because this has potential – we move the game away from the binary Horde/Alliance and introduce more varied factions. I would find it extremely interesting to see WPvP switch from Alliance v. Horde to Bastion v. Maldraxxus v. Revendreth v. Ardenweald. How would the numbers change, then? It might be an excellent trial run for a move away from the 2-faction system. Just saying.
However it ends up, there are ways to fix WoW’s PvP problems without resorting to burning it down.
NPCs are not the answer because that isn’t PvP. PvP – both organized and out in the world – has been utterly destroyed. Outside of arenas, it’s not even fun anymore. It can be fixed, but they have to make it a priority and get more creative than, “Well, we’ll let these Horde teams play Alliance in BG’s and hope nobody cheats.”

Nope there were be no reason for bgs anymore if anyone could que for a free bg win daily and get the daily conquest rewards one a day is all you need really
but no you don’t get pvp rewards for free! If you need to win thaaaaaat badly then form a premade. You have to earn what you get in this game. Unless you are paying massive amounts of gold to be carried which pvp isn’t carryable.
Merc mode yes that definitely needs to go I won’t disagree about that one.
That has merit. NPC bgs is the most expedient. I would be for removing merc mode for starters and people constantly kicked from bad behavior possibly finding an algorithm decides to add negative effects to their account in the form of not being able to queue for increasing amount of X time.
And bgs only exsist for horde to quickly cap conquest anyhow. 20+ alts on many servers and all are in the same predicament. Telling us to form a pre-made is a laugh when i never have to do that on my horde alt and can cap conquest in a 1/5 th amount of time as ally. I do not have the connections on my alts I do on my main to team up with a decent premade and random BGS should be that. Random. Not easy mode rating.
Buddy I hate people who bring bad behavior into battlegrounds to it does nothing but bring negativity and distraction but unfortunately that’s just how some ppl are not just in wow but in the whole gaming community. If people were smart the whole team would just ignore them. A lot of these random people you are with aren’t actually hardcore pvpers but casuals who a lot enjoy trolling or and don’t know the best way to pvp with their classes yet. It’s annoying and I hate it to nobody likes it but they can’t punish people for speaking their mind unless it’s spamming inappropriate stuff or threatening people.
People being rude and negative is what the ignore button is for.
Imagine calling killing enemy faction players an archaic system when you want to kill NPCs again in the same old archaic fashion.
Trade out an archaic system for another.

This is always the solution sheep don’t like hearing. Every time someone makes a complaint like this whether they’re losing in pvp or not being invited to be pve stuff, the most reasonable solution to their non-problem is to form their own groups. It’s easier to demand others fix their problems for them and being a follower than it is to take charge and lead yourself though.
It’s not PvP. Besides we already have that which is warfronts.

True lol Blizzard isn’t gonna fix your problems for you.
But people want them to this is like asking to be able to do raids with Npcs to carry you through the raids free rewards for no work. And that would ruin the whole game.
