You know they could just add recolors too. I can’t believe guardian druids got a recolor but no one else does. The same logic applies whether it is a guardian druid or a shadow priest.

If anything, the re-release has actually showed that the difficulty can, and probably will vary significantly patch to patch, expansion to expansion, because classes and spec change, power levels/damage break downs aren’t consistent over time, etc.
“Maintained,” is really bad word for how inconsistent the experience is likely going to be over time.
You seem to be glossing over that the trophy was literally presented as time exclusive. You can’t sell something as one thing, and go back on it after the fact. Tough crap if you didn’t do it.

Majority of people who completed the mage tower back in legion over geared themselves then completed it. People love to act like it was around for a month and only the top skilled people earned them when in reality anyone could just causally gear for it months later and the whole battle would be a snorefest.
It was disgusting of blizzard not unlocking the previous forms or atleast give them the ability to unlock a favourite because they used more skill and effort to complete it. Also most defenders are hypocrites laughing in glee when something else loses it’s exclusivity or becomes far easier to get but they moment it affects them you’ve karate chopped the king.

The Forums seem like a minority, cause it requires a sub to post here. People on Twitter, Youtube, and Reddit, wanted the old appearances to come back, mostly.

I’m fairly certain the timewalking scaling is extremely consistent. It seems to completely homogenize your character so I doubt future patches will change the difficulty. They even went out of their way to disable the current xpac features like covenant abilities to keep it homogenized. I will say that it was ridiculously difficult compared to Legion, but better difficult than easy for something of this nature. Regardless, they have the tools to retune it.
If you can complete the timewalking Mage Tower, I absolutely believe you are deserving of the old appearance. Perhaps even more so than if you had completed the original much easier mage tower from Legion.
Yes, you are correct. To be frank, I think it was a stupid decision that they should go back on. Content should never be removed from the game, especially something like the Mage Tower that was so absolutely popular. I like the compromise a different poster had, where they would offer a new recolor for completing the timewalking mage tower, but not the original appearance.
I’m not adverse to recolors but the reason the bear recolor was re-added was because it was a unique model for druids and druids are lacking in customization options for their forms…

I’m not trying to be rude, I legitimately don’t think I’ve experienced inconsistences except that it doesn’t match the original difficulty whatsoever. Each timewalking feels the same to me compared to past timewalkings.
Mage Towers. Dungeons. Raids. Basically everything timewalking related is never scaled properly to player power or lack of.
You’re wrong. The TW MT is already notably different from even ToS patch MT.
You really don’t understand how scaling works then, and what changes happen outside of scaling.
So then it isn’t consistent. Case closed. You already know it’s different, and are just trying to talk in circles to deny it for your own agenda. This was a fun talk.

Yea but the cat form was just as unique and cat form needed more options too.
Really all of the mage tower models are unique though. Like the warrior and paladin flails, for instance. Or the fencing sword for outlaw.
