Its time, get the players back on your side Blizzard!

In this galaxy, there’s a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that, and perhaps more, only one of each of us. Don’t destroy the company named Blizzard, bring back 10 mans.

Regardless of the why, we know its been a rough year, and I want to say Thank you game developers for listening to the things we’ve been asking for, and maybe for the first time in a long time, being present on the forums. I hope that holds true today.

Here is the simply way to make an MMO “fun” again!

I don’t want this to be a debate, I’ve taken a poll on Area 52 and it was 74% agreed, I’m sure most realms will have the same outcome or close enough.

Anyways

Bring back 10 man raiding

This has always been the most controversial thing you did as a company (in game) and we have been asking for years to change it back. The truth is

It’s time.

That’s 74% of Area 52? Ouch.

On the topic, I want 10 man mythic raid. Doubt it’s gonna happen sadly.

You’re not the first one to post this opinion.

What exactly would this fix in WoW? I don’t think people complain about the raiding. :man_shrugging:

Signed.

WoW was at it’s peak during MoP when 10man raiding was at an all time high. Before they get rid of factions they should see if 10man raiding will fix the game first.

It will fix the one thing WoW does better than over games, raiding. The age of WoW players is getting older, they have family and jobs now. 10 Man raiding means you can sit down with the group and decide week to week when you raid. We did it in Cata and were very happy!

Going back to 10 man raiding would mean forced homogenization. Is that a good thing?

@kaemane actually it doesn’t. 10 mans can exist when the bosses are not tuned around 5% magic debuff or around HAVE TO HAVE class buffs.

Other games have done it well. I know the greatest raid designers can figure it out.

Wow what comprehensive data lol

Ensuring a 10-man rooster of competent players is absurdly easier than ensuring a 20-man one. Not only that, but matching schedules is also a tremendous pain as well. Also don’t forget that a good raiding guild with intent on progression needs 22-25 players instead of just 20 when we factor in the bench because the chances of 1 or 2 people not being able to make it at any given day is quite high. Compared to 10-man, you’d only, conservatively speaking, need a group of around 12 people or maybe not even need the bench at all for the most part.

I think firemoose is in the 26% who don’t want it, which is fine, I think Blizzard should go with a large majority here, they will see the 26% still find great guilds with the “closer” groups they have in the guild already.

There is no 26% lol you’re not going to get anything done with useless numbers.

10 man raids means more instances on the server. Good luck convincing Blizzard that bringing them back is worth it when the raids now are doing just fine.

The problem is that what appeases one demographic infuriates another.
So there is no way for them to get all players on their side.
They get to pick their poison and live with the consequences of their dev actions.

It does, actually. There are 36 specs, even with 20 raid raid spots, classes are clamoring for utility to get a spot.

10 man Meta will either be ultra severe and leave dozens of specs out OR the bosses will be tuned to not need meta, and will fall over. There’s no inbetween without drastic homogenization. Physical/Magic damage debuff is just one example.

There’s a lot less people raiding this expac. When 10m was a thing, a lot more people were raiding.

That’s the thought process. And it makes sense.

As long as we’re making up numbers I asked around my server and 84% were against it.

How about, and I know this is a long shot, they just remove the Mythic lockout system and just have the heroic-style weekly loot lockout? Trying to shove all 20+ specs into 20 slots is bad enough, trying to shove 20+ specs into 10 holes is a nightmare.

OP has not polled A52, and seems to be talking straight out of his hindquarters at best.

Actually Tsataga the vote was on the Area 52 discord, no reason to think it would be diff on any other server, Area 52 is one of the largest raiding servers.
