This. Telogrus Rift is such an awe-inspiring place. But it’s small and unfinished. Blizzard, please please develop Telogrus into a glorious Void elf fortress. With libraries, research facilities, a school for the Void teachers and those who study it, an inn and a dining area, places for vendors etc.
They should let you but every time you use a spell you just die in an explosion lol.
But for real they should create a Void Knight give all the holy spells a void effect and let them be paladins.
At this point they should focus more on the actual void aspect of the race rather than giving them one of the very few class/race combos in the game that would be actually lore breaking.
Priests get exceptions because they’re a duality class filling in for a lot of roles and it would be insane to either not give them to certain races or restrict certain specs, but Paladins are purely about the Light.
The Light and the Void only mix explosively so.
Void elf priests can use the Light just fine.
Simply enable paladins. An explanation is not necessary.
They can make a separate Toggle for Void Knight. The original Paladin light themed class will show as greyed out / Locked.
A Void Knight reskin of the class would be cool but it would have to come along with a bunch of other class skins otherwise we’re gonna get a whole lot of crying about favourtism if Void Knight is the only thing.
but it’d be cool thing in an expansion to do class skins as a whole.
Too many corrupting tentacles imo
Paladin - Void Knight skin
Hunter - Dark ranger skin
Warlock - Necromancer skin !
Warrior - Spellbreaker skin !
Upvote if you like the above xx
As of now not without class skins, or them making identity tags, or them making a server where lore doesnt matter. All of which I hope are included in future expansions.
Its like Holy priests for Forsaken. Lorewise they are actually using Shadow spells but ingame we see Light. There are some that can use both as discipline but it hurts them. Likely the same thing with Void elf priests we just dont have unique animations. Same with Sunwalkers, they are not even Paladins but Sun druids.
Right so just allow void elf paladins and let’s move on to some real topics.
If you want perfect realism in WoW you’re playing the wrong game.
I want realism that follows the ingame Worlds rules not ours. But I dont disagree Void elf Paladins are fine imo. Give us Nightelf ones as well!
No. Tyrande is ruining it for the night elves. They don’t deserve anything nice FOR A WHILE.
Plenty of space on those empty islands in the rift too! Though yeah, I think some cities need a bit of an overhaul and expansion. Sad to say that it might be squished, since SW as a zone can’t really expand much more in game.
This is actually not entirely correct.
While certainly a majority of Forsaken Priests are Shadow Priests, they do still have those that harness the powers of the Light. It is still part of their teachings as well.
The Cult of Forgotten Shadows haven’t abandoned the Light either.
The cult preaches balance, mandating that shadow priests must never forget the dangers of falling too deep into the dark energies they manipulate, for it is often too hard to find one’s way back to the Shadow from the deep reaches of the darkness.[1]
There are many lessons that the Forsaken have learned through experience—things that some races can only begin to fathom. And although our path lies in darkness, you will find that a great many things rely on both the light and the dark. Your lessons shall teach you to use both… and with discretion. But heed my words: never forget we were forged in corruption and left to rot like so much carrion. The Darkness is our home.
Our power comes from darkness and shadow, , but that is not your only role. You have acknowledged that there is merit in knowing the healing arts. This is wise. But before you can know the dark, you must also know the light. And for this, I have a test for you.
No, it’s not time. It will never be time for this.
Hello there
People don’t want realism, they want lore consistency.
and even if there was some combination that went against that, people aren’t gonna see it as an excuse to just throw it out the window entirely and do whatever.
Which means no Void Elf Paladin unless they’re willing to do something like a Void Knight reskin.
Forsaken Paladins make more sense than Void Elf Paladins.
My take is here…they get paladin like casts. buts its void based. baseline abilities from different sources would not be new here.
I see a hunter. A hunter that can use a crossbow, rifle, and bow. and it means nothing. I cast aimed shot…its aimed shot. Getting nit picky rifle damage should vary from bow or bolt. Musket round not being sharp I’d have as a blunt damage modifier. arrows more armour pen. and bolt a hybrid of the 2.
As I’d see ve paladin Consecration its not light blessed AOE…but void based. same stats…its jsut coming from the void.
or, well, holy priest void elves. lore said yeah…I will walk away now. I see nothing. walks over and sees void elf disc priest. Oh crap…I see nothing, runs way another direction.
