Imo the void elf discount should be the new norm and void elves should get free transmog at least. it’s way too expensive
I agree. Gold sinks are irrelevant anymore now that Blizzard sells tokens.
No offense but it isn’t doing anything to combat inflation. Inflation has become horrible in this game and the small amount they get from transmog… pfft.
Haha right?? Only semi serious of a suggestion. Kinda makes me think of the monthly brew fest membership. Thought that was such a cool idea when it came out! Think the drink effects are a little flat now though. Or atleast some of them are meh.
Don’t know if it’s still in the drink rotation… but one had a bunch of jingle gnomes rush at you from all over. THAT was a trip lol
More things that could stand to have an update imo. I’ve never seen that drink, but I’ll have to pick the membership up on more characters now!
Nah up the transmog fee by 50x. Make it a gold sink so blizzard can sell more wow tokens.
I think the worst is the constant gear replacement. If the fee was still there but detached from the items themselves, it wouldn’t feel so terrible.
We’re going for daring ideas, I see.
Maybe blizzard could foot the proverbial tmog costs by adding a portal tax to summoning from any source.
Ok had to look that one up, it’s the July drink, but the effect is only a chance I think. Might have to go to the vender and buy up a whole stack and then consume… for science of course.
I think they should tripled them
Tokens don’t inject more gold into the economy, it simply moves from one player to another.
Transmog costs do absolutely nothing to combat the high end, just punishes the low end players
Alright uh, let me think of another daring idea here…
They should… apply a gold service tax every time you log in.
Indeed. I hope it comes over into the main game at the end of the event (or sooner).
There are so many other gold sinks in this game dependent on the content you do, and some can be bypassed through certain means. The longest and most intentional gold sink is repair costs, but Blacksmiths in Dragonflight can craft a hammer that repairs any piece of gear for free, has no cooldown, and is not consumed upon use. Another example are consumables like potions, flasks/phials, and food but the cost for those can be bypassed by making them yourself.
Gold making has continuously been “cut down” over time. Remember Garrisons? The mission table?
Blizzards free money mistake that never should have ever been put into the game.
I dont really see how transmog fee is so important to maintaining the economy. The people with tons of gold that can abuse the economy are not affected by it at all.
You can make like 20-25k gold per week just doing world quests, just do that. I can’t imagine someone transmogging often enough to blow through that much gold every week.
Or I can do that and also suggest the fee gets removed.
I think the real holdup is that Void Elves will need another racial, and no one can think of anything to replace the discount transmog perk.
Tbh this probably is the case. If the thought is to keep it in theme with the original racial, though, they could give them a free mog summon so they don’t need a toy, engi item, or mount.
