Your poor English teacher failed miserably when attempting to teach you about the concept of reading comprehension.
How is transferring horde oce to another horde oce going to help you with ques when all oce servers are linked.
A few things as Iâve been reading this thread while at work today, and with todayâs news of realm transfers.
- Realm transfers are NOT the answer to this problem.
While many of you responding to this thread are from American based servers, this suggestion will ultimately crush the Oceanic communities.
Itâs happened before, on Retail when it came to a point where all Oceanic servers were trying to transfer to Frostmourne because it became the popular Oceanic destination, resulting in other realms slowly but surely becoming dead (much like Retail is to this day).
We also have a very small selection of realms to choose from when it comes to playing on Oceanic realms, and many of you folks responding to this are unaware how the Oceanic roll-out played out initially when it came to server names etc.
We were only given ONE PvP realm, and the second PvP realm was offered literally 1 hour into launch on Arugal but everyone was already too committed / had their names reserved / friends already established in the one server.
Since Launch the server Arugal (OCE / Largest server of the lot), has been roughly 60% Horde and 40% Alliance.
While this imbalance may seem like an issue, in actual fact what occurred was the 40% Alliance population seemingly had a lot of Private Server communities involved. This meant despite the population differences, Horde were the ones being farmed in destinations such as Blackrock Mountain etc.
In fact, Horde were unable to enter Blackrock Mountain without 5-6 deaths for the first two weeks of the World PvP Patch dropping. We were being farmed at multiple different Flight Points, and we were also farming their Flight Points back. The only difference was, despite the numbers being less in the Alliance factor, the organization was much greater on their perspective putting the World PvP aspect into quite a fair balance.
- Re-Rolling is also NOT an option for finding resolution on this matter.
Sorry, but not many people are willing to re-roll. Especially when you may have booked 1-2 weeks of Annual Leave for the first launch, it isnât a practical solution given months of gametime invested into your character to switch it.
However, most of you are just using that line of reasoning as your method of âtrollingâ or ârevengeâ, which is pathetic in itself because everyoneâs experiences are solely isolated to the server theyâre on.
It is literally in the Allianceâs best interest to allow change to be implemented here, because your communities are dying and getting smaller every week - soon youâll be complaining about a dead game with a dead community and weâll be going back and fourths with âTold ya soâ.
- Horde Oceanic BG queues are MUCH worse than American Horde queues
This might be disputed a little, but I have no doubt itâs the case. Iâm reading on these forums with everyone complaining about 30-40 minute wait times, and in my OP post I was generous with the timeline I specified.
If youâre on Horde and in Oceania, youâre going to wait at least 40-70 minutes for a BG queue, itâs almost twice the length as what American players are experiencing. The alliance are experiencing 5-6 minute queues.
When weâre offered realm transfers, all itâs going to do is offer us to realm transfer to choices that are already pre-existent in our Battlegroups, and weâre locked into the single Battlegroup due to our geographical location.
The only logical solution to this problem is faction changes, and noone has been able to specify another work-around that will benefit everyone, all this thread has received is waves of tears.
Nice try, reroll or wait for your bg pop.
No matter what you say dustywood, all the alliance are going to say is like this guy above ^. These people arent going to change their minds. They just simply dont care. At all. They got damaged and hurt and thatâs all that matters to them.
Now that horde are hurting thats all they care about.
Yep, all I see is butt-hurt Americans spreading negativity further rather than resolving an issue thatâll benefit them directly because something didnât go their way to begin with.
Sounds like their US Elections if you ask me.
People need to stop being so bitter and realize horde-> ally faction changes would help everyone in the long run.
Otherwise Iâm sailing my pirate ship right back into EU waters, honestly dealing with EU ping isnât even bad compared to the batching we have atm.
Donât think I need it to know you and almost every other ally is hurting.
I love it. No revenge for you.
This.
At this rate people seem to be more focused on the slow destruction of Alliance communities with low populations having less PvE options and a worse PvP experience, than fixing the issue.
Ainât nobody going to reroll for simply better battleground queues.
Thereâs more pros for Alliance with this than there is for Horde, all Horde get out of it is faster BG queues.
Alliance on the other hand will be able to form more PvE raids, more guilds for specific communities of people, an active player base and more oppositial competition.
But, none of this will register as clearly displayed, as everyone will start replying from their Paladin alts with more fire and fury.
Great overall community! Though⌠Iâm starting to think the majority of people in defiance of this change are from American servers - yaâll need to understand and learn when to take a helping hand when offered.
Edit: then / than
Should have rolled alliance. Your tears are delicious.
While I agree with you in some sense, Alliance wonât be as affected as you think. Most of us went Alliance for a PVE focus. More of us will be waiting for raid content to keep us satiated, and all Ive noticed is more Alliance coming back since the completion of P2 and the world being more roam free.
I do like the idea or more Alliance though. My guild can add a third or fourth raid team if thatâs the case.
I also do enjoy the Horde strife a tiny bit. How could I not. A little penance is alright with me, donât think you guys need to suffer forever. Just a little bit of suffering, then you can faction change in my mind.
Man, I would be a rich man IRL if I had put bets on horde having long queues. So many horde came out to say âthey are cross realm queues, we wonât have queue timeâ. LMAOâŚ
I donât want horde switching to alliance side on my server⌠give them an option to go to a lower pop server for having it easy mode for over a month.
LOL@Horde.
Says the gnome with escape artist.
Man, feeling SUPER OP with my extra 2.5% stun resist.
Better yet, you and I should fight. You can bring a dwarf with stoneform.
Iâll bring a tauren with OP warstomp. Weâll wipe the floor with you!
I BET YOU WISH YOU WERE THIS OP Cackles
Youâre still not getting it, American.
This isnât about general BG queues, this is about the Horde offering to come save your dying communities as your populations start quitting on mass (which has begun already).
Just reroll
Nah, thereâs barely any raiding guilds on the Alliance due to the low pop, canât PvE or PvP - I think Iâll stick with Horde after reading the responses from the community.
Enjoy a dead faction.

You know, Iâm actually open to the idea of one sided faction transfers to balance server population. I will say that Horde has, and still is making this game incredibly toxic for Alliance players. Itâs sad. Youâre all bandwagoners.
That being said, itâs best to leave it in the past and try to get some faction balance rather than be salty about it.
In the mean time, I mean you can always grab your buddies and start leveling some alts together on Ally. Itâs actually not bad over here, especially when you actually have numbers to defend yourself against the onslaught of thirsty neckbeards trying to grind their mediocre PvP rank.
Yeah, not practical for myself personally.
I personally juggle between 40-60 hour work weeks, so in order for me to re-roll that would involve a massive time investment which Iâm personally not willing to do after Iâve already booked 2 weeks off at Launch to get through the levelling stage. I imagine this is the same for most of us, except for the unemployed.
Weâre not children anymore with absolute free time, nobody is going to bother re-rolling especially if theyâve already started gearing up their 60âs etc.
For example, Iâm almost BIS on my Rogue so thereâs absolutely no motivation for me to start over again.
I can enjoy the PvE side of WoW still, as well as WPVP - only BGâs are limited but thatâs manageable by the good ol fashioned flight path camping.
Iâve been asking for faction changes (Only for dominant faction) before honor came out. I think I started getting most vocal about it in PreBG phase 2 though.
Imagine thinking anyone is going to believe you have the Allianceâs best interest at heart in suggesting a service solely intended to alleviate your own queuesâŚ
When you drop the facade a single post later to prove youâre gleefully part of the problem that got you your queues in the first place.
You canât convince anyone when youâre engaged in this back and forth between pretending you want a cooperative solution, and proudly admitting youâre one of the ones that made the problem so bad in the first place.
