Warlocks had Metamorph for tanking for awhile, back in Cata I believe, before it mysteriously disappeared. Wonder if the DEMON HUNTERS know anything about THAT, HMMMMMM?

It was one of those “tank but not officially” builds Blizzard liked to try now and then. Personally I found it disappointing, but with more work it could have turned into something special.

They existed in WC3. They had metamorph in WC3. It was a demon hunter move, Warlocks were just borrowing it.

And was it ever sweeet! Saved so much time in PUG dungeons when the tank lagged out, DC’d, or just plain bailed.

I wish they tried more gimmicky stuff like that, they had glad stance in WoD I guess, but there really haven’t been any other “what if” builds since.
at least none I can think of.

Pet tanking should be a real thing. Warlocks, Hunters, Shaman (with Elementals), and even DK’s with their risen ghouls should be able to tank viably through the pets. That would open things up a fair bit… but folks would still be hesitant to tank.
Mail tank first please! Shaman tank spec when?

I couldn’t agree more!
Having used a VW as a personal solo-questing tank for years, I don’t trust the pet AI to tank a dungeon. Even when I babysit and micromanage him, there’s no shortage of times when I just want to strangle his nonexistant neck.

I really want a tank that is fun to play. Shaman tank with earth powers would be pretty cool
