Its really simple why game is dead

a pink tyranny too, don’t forget that

Game doesn’t feel dead to me.

At all.

That word is used too much.

Q up for some random/epic BGs folks and get ya pvp on.

Dragon/frost/destro to name a few. Look at details the next time you fight those three classes.

Sorry I got distracted by the affli lock hitting for 1 mil insta shadow bolts because they maintained their insta cast corruption. The lack of self awareness is pretty nuts.

Do you think it will recover?

Does anyone know if there’s been a season 1 that started like poop and that participation increased as seasons increased?

I think they need to adjust the way rewards are handed out. They need to remove rating requirements for all cosmetic sets. Instead of rating, it needs to be a participation based system like the trading post. You get more points the more wins you get, but gather points regardless, so even if you lose it doesn’t feel pointless.

They also need to add back in the previous seasons elite sets for tokens that become available after you reach the current seasons sets. FoMo is not a good thing, I’d like to know I can miss a season and still be able to get the things I want. They don’t add fomo to any pve items, only certain titles.

I’ve got no issues with keeping the titles at certain rating breaks, but if you increase the rewards, remove the “stress” of FoMo, and add in past expansion sets that people can work toward, you’re going to see big increases in participation.

I don’t think you understand what im saying.

Dragon, for example.

50 mil disen damage, it’s next ability after that is 15 mil eternity surge damage. Do you not think that is a major class design which is negative to the game?

You play demo I get it, you are low iq and need pets to do everything for you, but just actually look at damage breakdown on things and see how bad class design is for a lot of stuff.

This is a great idea to make the game actually perma dead for good! Blizzard needs to hire you.

How do you figure? FoMo causes burn out, burn out leads to lower participation over the long run.

People afk until rewards are easiest as we can see right now

Making it so you can play whenever you get any elite set or glad drake just makes it so people can literally hang around until another bugged season comes along sort of like what blitz mmr is right now

This is why more inflated shorter seasons (2 per raid/pve patch) is probably the best and easiest way to get people actually pressing queue

This can’t really be used as an argument. Highly subjective, one might hate something another might love.

Objectively, we can ask for:

  1. More rewards that isn’t mostly just gear, which may seem a lot of ‘things’ since they count pieces individually “Oh you unloked this glove and cape” but when you look at the big picture, PVP does not have a lot to offer in rewards.
  2. Ask for Blizzard to STOP using the raid tier and design PVP their own sets, like it once was. Again, if you’ll like what’s made or not is beyond the point.

When you don’t have a good argument attack the person. The “pets that do everything” only happen if I can cast and set it up. Just like your dots that do everything for you. There is very little difference besides being able to LoS/root demo pets. You really are a piece of work.

So your point is if a class has most of its damage in one ability it’s bad design? Where does Destro fall in that? I feel like it’s not overtuned and its damage profile is pretty spread through conflag, immo, and shadowburn until a bolt window opens up.

Ya you can if rewards look sick everybody plays if not they don’t

What if I don’t find the rewards that you do, sick? You can’t use that argument because art direction can’t please everyone.

Can defs please most people :dracthyr_love_animated: Revert glorious tyranny

My 2c, arena/shuffle is dead because they left strong specs way too strong for way too long especially the healers which has a down stream effect on the entire arena ecosystem. You left Disc and Hpally the only viable top healers and the other healers quit and so did the specs that synergize with them. The whole game got stagnant way faster than usual and eventually the rest of the specs stop playing as much too. Balance needs to be urgently addressed right away and so as many specs can play as possible and not feel gimped for playing what they enjoy and feel excited to get on and play.

Not mounts or titles, just the cosmetic carrot.

Still has to be a grind, and there is 18 years worth of elite sets, with multiple sets each expac, over all the classes, so so so many sets to grind out if you choose.

the entire community has a consensus that this seasons glad mount is ugly and not unique.

It’s usually pretty obvious when a reward is cool or not.

True!

Yeah ur literally never going to kill anyone on destro ever unless you can bolt them multiple times

Conflag hitting sub 200k damage on average is a complete joke.

Nah just we’ve been over this before, demo/bm = the same. Whilst they have more than 2 pets, they shouldn’t be specs in PvP. You can dispel, you can decurse, you can kick all the dots. What, I can use howl against pets and just play defensively all game and not land any cc on there healer (+losing coil) to just avoid getting killed for 5 seconds by pets, where when im aff lock, a lot of things can decurse, a lot of people dispel UA. Lot easier to counter aff than demo cuh.

My point is class design on so many classes is insanely bad right now, you should never ever have one spec doing 50 mil damage with one ability whilst the next is 15 mil or whatever.

Destro’s damage profile is arguably the worst it’s been since i’ve picked it up atleast.
Conflag does no damage, they nerfed wither and you can’t even play immolate. Sburn hits OK, incin does absolutely nothing. You are wondering around the arena like a headless chicken looking for three bolts to win the game, it’s a boring/bad playstyle and your legit only ‘scary’ if you get a bolt off, which is a struggle.

Personally I think they should stop making rewards ‘Limited Time’ then never-ever obtainable again. :person_shrugging:

If they had a system where it was like:

  • You earn elite set @ 1800, but after so many wins at 1800 or higher, you earn a percentage bar that eventually rewards you a token to unlock 1 elite PvP set / collectable of the past.

Similarly to some of the Vicious PvP mounts, after you’re at a higher rating than 1,000 / Combatant.

… or something similar to that.

Speaking strictly from a developer point of view? Having rewards stay permanently throughout the game, helps allow veteran-players come across game-modes they haven’t explored much before (PvP) with goals to strive towards, along with new players to not feel like they’ve missed out & be able to aim towards them as well.
