I haven’t played my Outlaw Rogue in a while and I gotta’ say, I’m amazed that this is still an issue.

I remember this being much less of an issue some whiles ago. I recall being able to hook up to places I couldn’t otherwise jump to, for example, which was loads of fun for exploring in no-fly zones, but then at some point they changed how ground targeted spells work behind the scenes and things like Grappling Hook and Heroic Leap have been all kinds of janky ever since. A classic “no fun allowed” dev decision with annoying side effects.

I do notice that Grappling Hook lets me target areas Heroic Leap doesn’t anymore.
Whether or not my grappling hook actually goes off is another thing entirely, but it’ll still let me target that area and sometimes actually pull me up. Heroic Leap feels way more restrictive nowadays. Lots of “no path available” error messages.

GH is like designed to punish players for trying to explore by going on CD and you do not move?
