It's not too late to change date!

Please just listen to the overwhelming community responses regarding the time frame between pre-patch and release. It’s not too late to make a course correction on this:

“Dear community, we have always valued your opinions on decisions we make and understand you are our clients and fans. Regarding the overwhelming community comments on our TBC release date and its proximity to the pre-patch, we have elected to push the release date to June XX, 2021.” - fixed

Their second quarter is coming up, gotta get all the money in as soon as possible to prove they’re doing financially well (which I don’t think delaying it by a single week would be bad).

Nah, screw that, don’t push it back. Just move prepatch to next Tuesday and give everyone 3 weeks.

Problem solved.

They could have done the #nochanges thing and released Draenei and Belfs on launch day.

You’ll be OK. The game isn’t going anywhere.

I love how people say “overwhelming” when the issue has been pretty divisive

Besides, already took my vacation, my boss would let me move it no problem, but eh, would rather not.

It’s almost like they didn’t do that because they knew people wanted to play the prepatch

So everyone not rolling those 2 races gets to suffer because you are crying that you get only 2 weeks (vs the 0 in TBC)to level them?

How delightfully selfish. Suck it up buttercup

You mean all 20 of them? Out of 2,000,000 players? That is not an “overwhelming community response”. That is “far less complaints than Blizzard usually gets for ANY decision”.

And yes, it IS too late to change it. And no, this is not a player-run game or a Minsqq-run game.

Was there any response that wasn’t about what that player personally planned to do (like level up a new Blood Elf to max, and gear it up BEFORE the TBC launch date)? Blizzard doesn’t attempt to match every person’s personal plans.

This would go a long way to mending this crapshow they got going on right now.

The forums is NOT the overwhelming majority of the community. I think they should move it to the prepatch day and forgo the prepatch altogether!

Really? I really like the decisions they’ve made.

That does not solve anything, all your doing is screwing adding a week of pre-patch, that does nothing for the release date problem.
