The current C+ spamming all over every bit of social media (reddit, youtube, these forums, x probably idk i dont use that) is exactly like the #nochanges spamming that was going on in 2018/19. Everyone is afraid that what they release will either have some terrible change to the game, or be a game they don’t want to play.
IDK what the future is going to bring, and I have my own “lines in the sand” for features/designs that are turn offs just like everybody else. All I know is this has all happened before, and in a monthish we will know more and we can all get our cortisol levels down until the next thing.
It will have tons of changes. Only the vanilla only chuds want no changes. Ignore them. They won’t play anyways because it’s not going to be world buff warrior slop against target dummy’s
3 months and it was still more popular than vanilla anniversary and era. Tbc tripled vanilla anniversary’s population as well. Keep crying and screaming that tbc and wotlk are retail. They arnt. You are going to have tbc and wotlk like changes in classic+ era chud
It seems almost inevitable that there would be changes - releasing essentially 2004 WoW all over again would just not be a smart business decision. As much as I don’t care for the practice, I would be highly surprised if it releases without a shop of some sort, and that means probably transmog, possibly battle pets as well at a minimum. Probably WoW Token as well, all of which would be changes.
true classic+ is basically no class changes (ok maybe like 1 or 2 maximum) and the rest of the dang world of azeroth completed i want mount hyjal. i want timbermaw hold raid. i want more stuff with the wildhammer reputation. that red dragon area in the wetlands, that needs a raid. etc. etc.
If this was what they are doing and they offer Copies from Era to C+ that barred us from bringing gold, and any thing that is not soulbound… I would go all in on copies and maybe its a good game.
It’s worth acknowledging that #nochanges was absolutely appropriate for 2019. Players wanted a faithful recreation of Vanilla and because they shut down private servers, it was up to Blizzard to deliver it. That mantra is mostly appropriate to Era, though there are changes that Era needed in order to survive. Even private servers had to make a few.
However, with C+, it’s not that players are against changes. It’s that they (myself included) don’t want, or need, another flavour of retail. At the end of the day though, it’s up to each of us to advocate for the game we want to see. Otherwise, we can’t really complain when Blizzard delivers the wrong thing
And this as well. People talk about SoD all the time, but the things happening to MoP Classic, this game is not MoP, this is not my baby, this is a mutant child born of no man. We need to cast the creature back from whence it came. If Classic+ bears any resemblance to the path MoP Classic walked, we’re in for a bad time. The retail virus is already inside our homes.
Assuming it’ll be retail is bad for your health, most of us just want turtle wow and some QoL stuff like an automated group finder (like RDF but without the teleport) because it will inevitably become classic era where you can’t find groups for dungeons at any level because people are anti-social x1000 and you can’t deny it.
Ah you mean a cluster with 2600 players where the majority of them are at 60? And the dungeons spammed are stocks for boosts, diremaul, marudon and the like? You know dungeons that very specific ignoring the fact that there are people between those points or before it in the case of stocks. Last I checked that’s what all I see. Never anything in between or before.
just saw someone recruiting for an uldaman group before i logged off you’re just making things up based on some stats you found. you don’t live the server like i do.
With all the speculation/hope/cope c+ content floating around now, I’m just waiting to see if it crosses any of my lines, and if so, bnet uninstalled and moving on. no drama no hate just ok nothing for me here anymore
