Why would you even do the quests for the grind. I just sit back and even feel just grilled off the idea of spending 20-30 minutes each run.
Like the idea of solo content is great, but it becomes immediately apparent that when you run with a group there’s the best rng of all, player rng, and it’s organic and human, when you do it solo it’s like repeating a robot run. Yet having a run fail from bad uncontrollable rng in content you have fixed entries for would feel terrible.
There is nothing constructive about any post in GD, why does my post get singled out and what does that have to do with the topic anyways?

I didn’t do the quest, I did the Assaults. I stacked up the Coalescence, thinking I was going to just dump a bunch into Visions and upgrade my cloak beyond what I have it. At 60k, I figured 6 vessels were good. Used one, realized I hate Visions in general and decided to delete them. Here I am now.
I guess you can consider the assault a quest though, gigantic world quest. And again, I do things to see for myself, not to just complain. I’ve done it, don’t like it. Now I will.

The rep is permanent, it’s the only reason I do the quests, and the occasional 200 gold. I’ve got 150K coalescing visions stocked up that will disappear come the next expansion.
Pandaria scenarios are more interesting than visions. Heck Island expeditions at least give you a change of scenery. Not that it’s hard to beat visions.

Well, not that I want people watching me. But if they see things like who has cloaks, who’s done what, I figured they can see if things are deleted.
End of Story, not that I think they see me specifically doing it, come on now?

Well there is a couple reasons, it is one sentence. It is a Dear Diary post. Mainly because it is a dear diary post. General Discussion usually has SOME SLIGHT constructiveness in some threads. You’re just saying “Lol I’m deleting my vessels because I don’t like the content”
If you’re grinding the currency and then deleting the vessels, they don’t care. The whole point was to get you to spend that time grinding, lol.

Yeah i thought it was really weird, but i guess that might be why they have the Hershey’s Symphony bars and normal bars. (Try them if you get a chance, the symphony bars with the toffee is 100x better).
I think the difference between the normal hershey’s milk chocolate bar and the bamboo colored Hershey’s Symphony milk chocolate bar is they literally don’t put the artificially sourced synthetic ‘curdled milk’ “flavor” compound in it. And trust me it doesn’t seem obvious at first, but try taking a bite of their normal chocolate or a dark chocolate and then one of the normal milk chocolate and seeing if you can detect a sour, almost faintly strong taste that… can’t really be otherly described as sour rotten cheese.
Like it’s not overpowering but the normal chocolate bars are noticably less sweet and have a funky aftertaste compared to the bar without it.

Oh no, Dear Diary, I made a post in General Dicussion today and the first thing that happened is they went ad hominem attacks instead of talking about vessels and or visions.

It’s hard to ad hominem when there is nothing to discuss anyways. All we know is you don’t like visions. What are we supposed to say “Well I like visions so your dislike isn’t mutual”?

even if it wasn’t fun for you, it has power gains tied to it. so by giving up you lock yourself at your current corruption capacity. by not at least reaching rank 12 first you have gimped your player power. given up on the cosmetic back pack and the opportunity to put sockets in all your gear.
if none of that interests you then nothing lost. go do what ever content that does interest you.
imo Visions when done solo is similar to the mage tower. a personal solo activity to push yourself. its like single player game bosses. you learn the mechanics, get your tools and strategies together and work out a way to succeed.

You make a good point, I have a level 9 cloak and to be honest - as far as I can tell from what I have done - the upgrades are not worth it. It’s a lot of work for a month or 2 to maybe wear another piece?
I loved the Mage Tower, challenging (DEFINITELY had some annoying mechanics, like the tanking ones being thrown off the edge.) deterministic. I know what I am getting when I do it, not so much Visions?
And even if I did get something I wanted, I may not be able to use it. Not exactly the best motivator.
In short, the cloak upgrade is just to do the vision some more just so you can upgrade the cloak again?

I find the visions to be a fun little challenge that provides battlepets, toys, mogs, mounts, an enchantment illusion. They allow you through corruption resistance to equip higher tiers or corruption and boost your dps. Also, there’s a backpack mog and achievements. Additionally, it helps me to get my mind off troublesome issues.

Every time I enter those Visions, I feel more frustrated than anything? It’s mainly the loss of control I guess on my character, dodging, interrupting, using CD’s when needed isn’t an issue for me.
Now, losing my character left and right? Oh yeah, don’t like that one.

When you boost your cloak’s ranks and complete more titan research those things recede in importance as issues. Also, at rank 12 you get a massive DPS proc boost.
